The L he talked about was his album revival. Many people did not like the style or sound of it. It was also political which many people didn’t like. Overall I think it was a great album and is very underrated.
I absolutely hated Revival. I'm a HUGE Eminem fan, but that was the first Em cd I listened all the way through and hated it. Kept listening and it got better, but never good
As a long-time rap fan, Joyner Lucas (and Kendrick Lamar) are the only "new generation" rappers I give the time of day. Joyner is a genius and should be recognized as such.
Critics rated Revival as a flop even if it was platinum in sales, but not super multiplatinum as older Eminem. And people thought that Eminem went too deep and not to crazy old rapper as before. For me all Eminem's albjms are great and we need them all. Eminem did it all, all kind of rap. Portugal here for the Goat Eminem always since day one and forever. Thanks for reacting. Salutes
The L he took was his revival album everybody was shitting on wich I think was a great album u should react to Eminem best friend it's Em's best verse in my opinion
Eminem is the GOAT. I was born in 87 and have been listening to Em pretty much his whole career. What he did back then, in 99-04ish had such a HUGE impact on everything. Everything. Go back and listen to his first 3-4 albums (plus Lose Yourself), and you'll see.
Joyner is a tough one to call a new school rapper. He's got a lot of old school vibes, he's more just a new generation of old school rapper DNA. That's just kinda how I look at Joyner.
Joyner looked up to em. He isn't mumble rapper and is a great story teller. His lyrical ability reminds alot like em and I think he'll be able great his own legacy like em
That's facts bro, that's why Eminem fucks with Joyner and considers him to be one of the best out. Em raps to be the best. Joyner raps to be the best, too. He recognizes that
I think Joyner is finding his own voice/ style. On his first album I think he was trying to fit in a little more and now he's becoming a real lyricist. IMO
2018 songs like 'Fall' and this that you have reacted to are from his 2018 Album 'Kamikaze' which was all set to rebel against critics who gave very low ratings to his Platinum-selling 2017 Album, 'Revival', and against Mumble Rap. Kamikaze is considered as one of the best albums of modern-hip-hop as it greatly brought down mumble rap and brought back lyrical.
There’s a reason wether featuring or featured em goes last, don’t nobody wanna rap AFTER Em, people can hate his style but his skills are unquestionable
His L is his recovery gave him life a better one. With a whole bunch of triple entendre’s. He was a great story teller now he tells one story that means three different things. The GOAT.
he talks about revival. its my 2cnd favourite , arguably my favourite project he ever made. the rap schemes and rap in general was evolving beyond rap on that project. loved it!
I sound like a broken record every time i break i record! Damn Eminem is GOAT truly nobody is even close to this guy! Light years ahed of these kids.. nobody can beef with Em 🔥🔥🔥
Great reaction, really enjoying you discovering Em and his many sides! Lol! As you go through his catalogue, you’ll see there are lots of ‘sides’ to Em’s character! I agree with what you’re saying about Artists getting washed on their own tracks when Em does a feature - there are a few exceptions - but not many! Royce always holds his own for sure!
Eminem released Revival (revive = bring back to life), people didn't like it, so he came back with the opposite - Music To Be Murdered By. Genius move!
Fuuuuuuuch Bro! There’s a lot of firsts in this post. First time commenter, first time viewer of your channel here. Haven’t even watched anything beyond this vid yet. That said I am very familiar with the track, and as a 48 year old, unmarried white lady from Western Canada, whenever it comes on my car stereo and I crank it up, is that fuckin weird? Near 50 year old Canadian (very) Caucasian lady just jammin to hip hop in her Volkswagen Taos? 😂 Anyway, I fuckin loved watching your reaction to this track. I’ve had this one stuck in my head every morning when I wake up for two weeks now. Bless you! 💕
Revival was the album that people said didn't live up to it me personally loved it just showed a different side of what he can do Eminem Like The Movies get a little bit of everything that's why he goat 48 still killing it Marshall Mathers peace
You must do Busta Rhymes ft Eminem - Calm Down. Busta has a story behind it. Saying he send Em his verse, When Em sent his verse back to Busta, Busta had to do a rewrite because Em was fire on his verse, they went back and forth with verses which caused the song making to last a year because they kept battling each other on verses
Hey Mrs Abraham Lincoln, other than your husband’s f*ckin brains that are leakin, how’d you think that play was this weekend?!? Possibly my favorite line in a song ever!!
Thank you for listing some your favorite tech n9ne songs. I have always been a distant fan for the longest but i dont know a whole shit ton of his songs so im on a bit of a journey and I appreciate you listing these. If you happen to know a few more where he really goes in id really appreciate it!
Taking an L means taking a loss. Idk why he would say that album was a loss, it debuted at number one, and had so many excellent artist appearances. Some people thought it was too political, but I thought it was just good. My favorite song on revival is Walk on Water. River was great too.
The "L" was *Revival* This was On the Album *Kamikaze* By *Eminem* Listen to Ground Zero Of *Kamikaze* *CHLORASEPTIC II* *(Ft.2Chainz & Phraser)* ( *2 chainz* was upset he was left off the album not knowing *Em* had Something in mind)
Here are a couple of songs/videos you might like and will probably give you a surprise or two. Pentatonix's [also known as PTX] version of "Bohemian Rhapsody". They are, in my humble opinion, one of the best Acapella groups around. Realize that when they do this there is no messing with sound it is all their voices. The other one that is good is Johnny and Edger Winters version of "Tobacco Road"
Em is talking about his album Revival. I personally think is was a dope album, but it did get a lot of hate from a lot of people. It was just something different Em that people weren’t expecting so of course they trashed the album on social media and in magazines. The album still sold of 4 million copies. So in another song of Em’s on the Kamikaze album, Em says that he sold over 4 million records even when he puts out a “bad” album. So that’s what he is referring to with that line...
Joyner is one of the best newer guys to rap. I actually didnt care much for joyner when i listened to him years ago but this song got me to listen to him again now hes on my favorites list. You gotta react to joyner lucas - ADHD
As a person who lives in Massachusetts I'm of course biased in saying he's already one of the best rappers alive but if other people disagree with that statement you can't say he wont get there
Eminem isn't old school or new!? He's the school of rap.
Oh good one
This one!
The L he talked about was his album revival. Many people did not like the style or sound of it. It was also political which many people didn’t like. Overall I think it was a great album and is very underrated.
100% underrated, ppl just cappin or ignorant
I absolutely hated Revival. I'm a HUGE Eminem fan, but that was the first Em cd I listened all the way through and hated it. Kept listening and it got better, but never good
he almost trancended rap on that project. prolly my favourite of his. genious album and extremely underrated
I like revival album... my only critique is that I didn’t care for majority of the beats
@@UMadUCauseBad I think you might mean "underrated"?
Joyner and Em both bought the 🔥🔥. This song actually introduced me to Joyner and I am glad for it.
Same man, I was lost but now I'm found. Joyner is a gift from above, no shit
same
Same here. He is in heavy rotation now!
Em is giving a chance to underated rapper bro
Didnt know about joyner too until i heard that lucky you
Same. Heard of him before this but didn’t know he was a beast.
Em really has mad respect for Andre 3000 this isn't the first time his mentioned him as one of the greats
I've heard this song a thousand times, and I still get goosebumps when em starts double timing.
Check out “ not alike “ from the same album bro
As a long-time rap fan, Joyner Lucas (and Kendrick Lamar) are the only "new generation" rappers I give the time of day. Joyner is a genius and should be recognized as such.

The L he took was his revival album everybody was shitting on wich I think was a great album u should react to Eminem best friend it's Em's best verse in my opinion
Greatest verse ever written in hip hop history. Also Medicine Man and Chloraseptic Remix are some of his best verses
@@pantelischristodoulou6053 not better than renegade
Bad guy had the verse of the decade.
I think bad guy had the best verse he ever wrote. Best friend is #2. Renegade is #3. Imo.
For me it’s a tie between Best friend & Bad guy.
Eminem is the GOAT. I was born in 87 and have been listening to Em pretty much his whole career. What he did back then, in 99-04ish had such a HUGE impact on everything. Everything.
Go back and listen to his first 3-4 albums (plus Lose Yourself), and you'll see.
Check out bad guy. It's the sequel to Stan. That might be his best song ever. He won verse of the decade. Trust me. You won't be let down.
Hell yeah! I commented that on a stan video reaction. Very awesome song.
I love Joyner Lucas along with Eminem the goat! Eminem was letting Joyner shine along with him! ❤️
Well, stylistically, Em always tries to tie in his parts with the others'. It makes the flow amazing.
Joyner is a tough one to call a new school rapper. He's got a lot of old school vibes, he's more just a new generation of old school rapper DNA. That's just kinda how I look at Joyner.
We need more like him tbh
Joyner looked up to em. He isn't mumble rapper and is a great story teller. His lyrical ability reminds alot like em and I think he'll be able great his own legacy like em
i really felt that shout out to masta ace. a lot of people wont even know who he is.
Why? Masts ace Is a fucking legend
I'm so happy people get to see Em's sense of humor. One of the many things i love about him.

Loved how they did early 90’s em & dre w/ playing off each other’s verses 🔥🔥
My new favorite channel bro a young mind that gives lyrical shit a chance respect
Check out Premonition by Eminem. He covers a lot of what you’re asking about his last album taking an L.
This is my anthem they both killed this beat
This song gives me goosebumps everytime.
This shit go so hard bruh lol. This is one that we’ll look back in 10-15 years and understand the genius of these two
