@broken4460 agreed i won't even watch the original Because it's not 1:1 and I've had friends tell me to no you should it's good and I'm just like buzz off Ive heard it's bad from so many people and I don't really enjoy watching animes that aren't 1:1 other then Boruto which is a hot take I actually enjoyed them giving some of the characters and story more background

The last part about Soul being a descendant of Shou makes sense, because Shou is the guardian of Shinra, and Soul is death's last weapon, which also works as being death's protector.
And I thought itadori and ichigo kurosaki's family trees were F**ked up

@Sundeath41 to be fair though, shinra’s birth was more of a prophecy and orchestrated by gods, while itadori and ichigo’s births were both fully mapped out and planned ahead of time by regular guys

I believe Crona is apart of that family tree(specifically on Shinra’s side). Had the same hair color as one of Shinra’s kids and that could explain why Crona has a tolerance to the madness instead of it being experimented
also connected to the witches, since Inca is the first witch.

Although it’s not entirely concrete because I feel like she would’ve probably would’ve had found out about Soul being apart of that family tree a and would’ve had a deeper interest in him

But there’s a possibility that Medusa isn’t actually Crona’s biological mother. But instead, kidnapped Crona for her experiment when they were a toddler. Maybe knowing their connection to Shinra
Or, if Medusa is Crona’s biological mother than she could’ve slept with someone who’s related to Shinra or (I highly doubt it but…) She could be a descendent of Shinra.
To Answer the witch thing, they don’t have to be biological sisters. It could be another form of camaraderie.

Definitely a theme that future (potential) gods aren't born like humans or born to a human in a bizzare situation. (i.e. molded from another god's very soul like clay or born of a virgin, a human woman respectively)
Yet it's also a running theme that only a potential god (or empyrean to use Elden Ring's use of terms) that's raised as a human, lives amongst them, grows to personally connect with individual humans or people can truly know the gravity of a world full of both sorrows and suffering but also warmth and connections born by that love and thus only that potential god can ever be entrusted with the world's safety and stability and the prosperity of life. (Being the guardian of the delicate balance of life, death and rebirth or bringing renewal)
Does that mean these gods don't make mistakes or cause chronic problems that leads to deeper systemic issues? No, even these gods are not perfect, nor can they ever create a perfect world, free from all suffering because the irony is to be a worthy god means to embrace the imperfections of life, being very human themselves such gods. The hope is that the newer, succeeding generations of both mortals and gods can usher in a new age of peace and harmony and justice and reconstruction (sometimes literally restructure reality itself) with a new generation of potential gods making mortal friends and allies that teaches them about empathy and kindness, to remember what is worth fighting for (what to use power for, not for its own sake) and to remember the very grounded people that would be under this new god's stewardship of life once they ascend.
Note: sorry for the rambling...
But basically I think the series understands that just giving someone great power leads to disaster because that great power isn't tempered with a sense of the weight of responsibility and the empathetic capacity needed to weild such in ways that benefits the whole of people over personal selfish desires. By keeping oneself emotionally grounded, to not give into empty holes of sadistic destruction or nihilism and being reminded by the people you love what makes life wonderful and worth protecting with that great power.
Hence why neither Shinra nor Death the kid start out very strong (or the absolute strongest), they have to both grow as people before they unlock their full power.

I actually love that fire force had done this. Alot of animes, stories, and manhwas that do take inspiration from religion/mythology always choose Norse, Greek, Egyption, Hindu... etc. Seeing a story take inspiration from characters & events from Chrstianity is a breath of fresh air.
Now, im no christian. And I have no knowledge of the rules, how things work etc. So, please dont beat me up if anyone does see this comment.
He is literally the guy who created the world of soul eater, and is likely the father of all evil witches, I believe inca's prediction that he would fall in love with her in future was right... If course his first wife is eris, and princess hibana was likely his 2nd love, and inca 3rd.
After all Inca at the end of the Manga Inca told shinra's mother that he deserves at least 3 women.... And the fact she specifically said 3 not 2 or 4 is very suspicious considering her powers was to see the future.
If you ask any fire punch fans if shinra was going to go full rudeus mode how many women would he get and which one, everyone would say 3 and it will be (eris, hibana, and maybe Inca)

See now this canonically makes fire force one of if not the best prequel that was ever written. Do you know when the show came out it looked interesting but I was going through college at the time and just didn't have time to watch it, now I'm so invested in it and I can't wait to binge it. Like I love Soul Eater, it was up there one of the first animes I ever watched alongside Inuyasha and one piece, and the show was good and the manga was better and the fact that this author had to have had an inkling of what create his world and managed to make such a complex story on top of the already complex story he made it's just fantastic. It's the levels of continuity and foreshadowing that one piece and The Inheritance cycle ( which is in the book series where Eragon is the first book) planning that I love

It make sense now that kids two pistols the same way shinra got two wives and one looks the grandma iris. Also its possible tamaki and juggernaut are the ancestors of maka albarn thus fufilling her sort of crush on shinra. While it also possible she either reincarnated as blair or blair is her descendant/doppelganger since if there are characters with doppelgangers its likely spirits was the dude in the bar in season 2 of fire force or he is a doppelganger and its likely doppelgangers are the parents of weapons.
