Giddy was a poor pick, If you consider re-sign it would be a disaster. He wants a huge contract but he's very limited as far as talent.

I've completely lost faith in AKME, their trade history is so bad. I'm assuming they don't know how to negotiate cause how do you not get a pick for caruso

Bulls & Pelicans the scenario! Carter/Duarte & Vucevic the only available players. Once they clear that Trade for Brandon Ingram they’ll only be short a Starting Center and another roster spot until the offseason. Nothing else makes sense, since they’ve gone 3-4 years without a threat @ the PF. Giddey, Lavine, Williams, Ingram… Unlimited!

As a Rockets fan, I would trade Jalen and a 1st for Lavine but we cant trade Jalen till the offseason.

Tanking three years in a row in order to not convey a singular 1st round draft pick doesn't seem wise. Three years of mediocracy could harm the development of the young assets on your team and it isn't guaranteed that whomever you end up drafting will develop into a valuable talent. Patrick Williams looked like a future all-star on draft night. It's better to let the pick convey than dragging out "the process" for THREE WHOLE YEARS.

I think my perspective on “tanking for 3 years” comes from the idea that I don’t think their roster is good enough to be a real playoff team over that same duration. I’d rather them retain their picks than maybe luck into the 8th seed thru the play-in

@@UtilitySports The problem with a multi year tanking that no one discusses is that it's a gamble. You may end up like Boston/OKC, but you also run the likelier risk of becoming Philadelphia or Detroit. Team culture, coaching, player development, and a competent front office are better predictors for long term team success than a draft pick.
Committing to losing doesn't just harm your team's bottom line, but free agents don't want to sign with a "loser franchise". Ripping the bandaid off now is preferable to selling low on your all star talent in the trade market, then committing to being one of the absolute worst teams in the whole association for years for 1 pick.

@@dillamadukes21 Committing to Nikola Vucevic and DeMar DeRozan did not produce a better outcome

I wouldn’t mind the rockets trading Fred for Zack lavine at the end of the year.. similar amount of money also Fred expiring it would open up the bulls cap if they didn’t pick up the option and rockets get a shooter with a 1 and 1 .. bring green off the bench and start amen at pg.. way more size in the back court and athleticism plus Zack a better shooter then Fred or green and u get amen defense in the starting lineup and green can come off the bench with tari
