    Interesting fact. The United States Championship match with Jeff Hardy vs Randy Orton concluded a series of matches that Hardy and Orton have had with every tier title. The WWE title match being at Royal Rumble '08, an IC title match on Raw '08, the World Tag Team Championship when the Hardys vs Rated RKO on Raw '07.

    I was at this show. It felt like it was never going to end and it was on a Sunday night which meant most of the people there had to go to work or school the next day. That main event dragged way too long. I remember some guy walking out during it yelling "Thanks for nothing Vince!" After the match, Roman just looked around looking sad

      I remember having the chance to go to the Raw after HIAC 2018 when they made all the promises and called up Gargano and Ciampa. The show was in Louisiana which is normal makes for a good crowd but they were quiet for literally everything. So glad I saved myself the embarrassment. I’m sure I would have felt the same way you did.

      Besides the Rollins ic title reign, 2018 wwe was bad especially on raw. Smackdown in 2018 was ok compared to raw but I would like to forget about 2018-2019 wwe cause that era was bad especially crown jewel 2018 which basically caused me to stop watching wrestling for 4 years because I was mad that braun lost to lesnar which I didn't want lesnar to win because 14 year old me didn't want him part timing with the universal title again, and shane mcmahon winning a best in the world trophy over kurt angle, miz, and dolph caused me to cancel my wwe network subscription. I'm so glad that hhh took over since wwe has gotten better in these last few years with him.

    • @HeyItsAJOmega
      @HeyItsAJOmega 8 месяцев назад +4

      It really stunk. 2017-19 were all time low years for WWE. Just zero creativity and imagination and passion in the product, same old faces on top, and booking ranging from the boring to the downright nonsensical. And then every so often you'd get an utterly atrocious segment like Bayley: This Is Your Life, Lashley's Sisters, Drake Maverick wetting himself, Dean Ambrose getting flu shots because 'the fans stink', etc. And let's not forget, the only people ever allowed to get over were Reigns, Lesnar, Strowman, Charlotte Flair, and a 50+ year old Goldberg - if anyone else got over, like Becky Lynch or The Fiend, it was purely by accident and often torpedoed out of spite by VKM and co.
      As Frasier said in this video, no wonder hype for AEW was so high - people had been crying out for a true alternative to WWE since WCW went under, and with how awful WWE was by the end of the 2010s, no wonder AEW felt like such a breath of fresh air right out the gate. Even if WWE is in a better place (mostly) now in terms of creative, the mere fact AEW have at least pushed them to up their game can only be a good thing.

    Once again seeing Sami Zayn with "Bobby's Sisters" and Big Cass with "Daniel Bryan" is so groan-worthy. WWE leaned on this 'comedy' trope *_SO_* much over 20+ years, and it was completely exhausted. I'm glad they've finally left this cornball stuff behind.

    keep these up guys , i really liked this form of wrestling review of a ppv or ple (whatever it’s called now) I liked the essay format that not only covered the matches and segments occurred on the show, but also the surrounding and proceeding context of the show. I really don’t care for comparative conversations between WWE and AEW most of the time, but what a closing segment illustrating the impact All In had on the wrestling scene at the time and showed by contrast WWE floundering with their wealth of talent on the roster by just booking their shows so poorly. great stuff guys , hope to see more episodes of this series soon

    Good review, and for the most part funny, but the whole yawning/falling asleep bit got old...we get it, the show was boring, but doing the bit all the way through the video took a funny concept and overdid it to the point of making it not funny anymore. Although now that I think about it, that might be meta-commentary on the state of the WWE product in 2018, so in that case, good job!!!

    The only match I remember from this show, is Seth Rollins Vs. The Miz for the IC title. Beside the main event and how boring it was, I can't remember this show at all.

    I actually stopped watching WWE on TV after that PPV. I still follow what they're doing and im glad that the product is better, but ive made a promise. For those who watched this period of WWE thry know why AEW still has some viewership left, its because of WWE during the late 2010's. Theyve insulted people's intelligence a lot and people turned on them

    It's now 2024 and WWE has only come back to Newark twice. Once for Smackdown later in 2018, and then for Raw in July 2019. It's very obvious they'll never forgive New Jerseyans for being New Jerseyans.

    honestly personally, 2018 was a bad year to be a WWE fan, they put on a lot of bad shows that year, GRR, RR, Crown Jewel, Wrestlemania(in my opinion one of the weakest Wrestlemanias), wasn't a fan of SummerSlam this year, Backlash oh Edit: TLC too, and HIAC
