Bonjour Marc, merci pour la démo ! J'ai la même Pacifica, seulement un modèle plus vieux et voulais justement y mettre un Sh4 en bridge.

Great sound from the upgrade. This would work fine with a 250k pot as it would be too bright with a 500k. I was thinking of fitting a JB SH-4 (actually TB-4) or a SD 59 as it’s a lower output pickup and still sounds great. I have a Pacifica 604W

    Hello Marc,
I own a Yamaha Pacifica 212VFM for 1,5 month and I'm thinking about humbucker change because I really don't line the stock one. I was thinking about either SH-4 or SH-5 (or maybe some DiMarzio?). I would like to have more "meat" in the sound. The Yamaha humbucker is to squeaky for me, it is to bright, especially when I did comparision with Ibanez RG350. How big was difference when you changed humbucker in bridge? Thanks in advance for answer!

Actually it's not a medium output pick-up, with a DCR of 16.4 KOhm and an Alnico V magnet bar. On the Seymour Duncan website they say it's a high gain passive pick-up. It's very powerful really.

I have a question about the JB... When you crank it at high gain and high volume does it squeal alot? I Have a problem with my stock Epiphone pickups where they squeal (not normal feedback) at any volume over half and playing distorted. Got them re-waxed and everything and nothing changed. I know it's not a problem with my amp. Just wondering because I don't want to get one of these and have the same problem

Well have been using the JB for years in different guitars and never had any squealing issue at any volume. That all i can say good luck if you go for it !

Hello Marc, Which combination of pickups did you choose for your Yamaha? I see another Seymour Duncan in the neck...
I'm thinking on change the original pickups for my Yamaha... Seymour Duncan JB it is in my mind, but I have doubts about the others... Thanks

can I ask what single coil Seymour Duncan did you use?, I'm planning on getting my first guitar which will be a pacifica 012 and someday when I get better at it and decide to go for an upgrade, I'll be looking at upgrading my pickups to Seymour Duncans. Also do you know how I can avoid fake Seymour Duncans? theres alot of them but I think the SH4 JB on amazon is a legit one

quit293 For whammy bar sream or dive bomb locking tuners are a good idea.As it is it would not hold tuning for that abuse !

Merci si tu peux me renseigner. 🇫🇷 🎶🎸🎶
