Gary - you've inspired me to build. I've scanned facebook marketplace and last weekend I drove 1000 miles to collect some mowers. I stripped down a mower yesterday and those craftsmen mowers are quite simple. I had an idea - if you take 2 frames, you should be able to cut the front off of a 2nd chassis just behind the axle mounting point and bolt the front end of one to the front end of the other - front to front like a head-on collision. The holes line up. Once bolted, it could be welded up and then it allows you to use the stock axle mounting point from the 2nd frame - just in reverse. It will stretch the front out a bit more, but it might make a simpler way for someone to stretch the front axle and still use the factory tilting axle. Love your channel - haters gonna hate so don't focus on them. Just run your channel and ignore the comments including this one.

That's awesome. That's a pretty good idea for stretching the frame, too. I like that. Thanks for the support, and thanks for watching. That comment didn't really bother me, I thought it was kind of funny, to be honest. That's why I brought it up. But I'm happy to be of some inspiration, and again, thank you

Hey I like listening to you ramble, don’t let it get you down not everyone has the big sponsorship with the FREE parts . I’m 57 I’ve got a 72 Nova , TWO doors ha ha . A 51 GMC pickup both I personally went through every nut and bolt nether would win a show, but I love them and it took 57 years to get here. Now I’m into the garden tractors and I like what you did with yours and you do it with what you got? Keep it up 👍

Ive never😮 commented on your channel; but I think its cool what you do. You've inspired me to build a Hotrod myself. Id love to send you some pics if you could send me an email. Tell those douchebags to make their own "exciting" channel. Weve been a racing family, and my Dad was a Sprintcar racer from the 60s. Your tractors remind me of them, so I love it! If I was rolling in it, I would send some $ , but I get it? No bucks, no buck rogers as they used to say! Stay cool, ill be watching whatever your doing!

Thank you. That's really cool. I'm happy to be of some inspiration. I love hearing from viewers like you with history like that. I hope I didn't come off like I was asking for donations or anything. I'm just telling it like it is. I will continue working to grow my channel the best I can. Stupid comments don't really bother me, I just thought that particular one was a bit silly and worth mentioning. Actually, you would laugh at the response I gave on it. It's not too different from your suggestion. My email address is always in the video description. It's garydeyo302@gmail.com. I'd love to see those pics. Anyway, I'm happy to have the support of loyal viewers like yourself, and as always, thanks for watching.

Yay for Gary! I vote Gary for president of tractors! :D lol I like hearing your backstory, especially since you're a fellow upstate NY'r. I know the car scene in Middletown all too well. I'm still in M-town often. Just keep doing what you do. You don't need money to make great content. People like watching stuff be created on the cheap, it's why a lot of people watch stuff like this. And for whoever wants more 'exciting' videos, why are you watching? He's doing what we expect from the channel. Do you want him to jump the tractor into the pond ? That would be cool, I'll admit, but I wouldn't expect it.. yet. ;)

Thank you. That's very encouraging. I don't think I'll be jumping any tractors into the pond anytime soon, lol. It's good to know what I'm doing is at least entertaining. And it's what I'd be doing anyway, even without a youtube channel. I appreciate you watching.

Idk man I don't think the video was boring I like hearing stories about cars that people acquired and the backgrounds about them and how they got into cars like the Channel I got into small engines recently because my interest in chainsaws so the lawn mower videos were pretty cool but I like the other videos to

Has anyone been able to find a mercury steering wheel or a similar style like the one Gary got from ebay? I've been looking and not easy to find. Gary - what is the diameter of that boat steering wheel from the mercury? I think I've found something we can use on our builds - google up tractor steering wheels. They look a lot like Gary's steering wheel and I'd like to know the diameter so I can get the same sized one as his.

My steering wheel is 14.5" When I found it, I think I just looked up "vintage tractor steering wheel" or "tractor steering wheel" on eBay. The seller didn't actually know what it was from. They had it listed as "Vintage custom hotrod steering wheel." I have found similar wheels from old tractors on eBay. I've noticed that sometimes they don't show the diameter, and you would have to contact the seller. I got lucky with mine because it was only $10 and has a metal center.
