Morning Ryan. I am lucky enough to live on the Eastern side of the Sierras, but still getting some rain and high winds (25-30 mph). Expecting gusts up to 60 this afternoon and 1-2" of rain tonight. I have friends who lost their house in the Dixie fire and, now, worry that they might not have their land either. It is times like this that one realizes that others have it just as bad or worse than you do.
I really love your little quips like nader juice, but the best is "DON'T BE SCARED - BE PREPARED". Thank you for ALL that you are doing for us!

But all of those years were demonstrating to me, severe high winds; toppling trees, and burning down entire neighborhoods; one of which I once lived in. 😱 Stay safe CA. I'm relieved you listened to your guiding angels. I came from Cali too and studied lots of geology in school there. The risks are not worth ignoring all the warning signs in staying. The food and culture is not worth the stress and high costs of living for me either. Lived 4 years in Upper Michigan and went back to Cali in 2007... I couldn't even resonate with the culture anymore. My family and friends so dang addicted to sitting infront of screens and monitors, video games, sports, that screen has to be on always. Phone, texts, it's hard to actually connect anymore. Left in 2010, and it's been a sad hard process in letting go of my birth state. I see where it's going though... and it's sad. Those sierra nevadas are volcanic. The bay area and sacramento... are not safe regions... we're gonna see flooding.

My sister lives in Paicines CA. Her and her husband owns a cattle ranch. They have needed rain so badly. Thank the good Lord their ranch hasn’t been effected by the wild fires. She said they rely on the rain and a good snow for their cattle. So when spring hits, all that snow melts and will run down the mountains to the rivers and creeks for the cattle. I hope it’s not too much though. We are in NWA in Rogers. We are pulling in our Halloween decorations here in just a bit. I just pray it fizzles out like the last storm.

So, it's after 10 pm on Sunday night here in Portland OR. The day was actually pretty nice...sure, a bit of a breeze, showers, etc., but the temps were mild and we were out shopping, walking around, and enjoying the fall weather. Yup, moderately heavy snow in the Cascades, but that's always a good thing. It seems like the system coming in from the Pacific is causing more of a problem for central to northern California and not so much for us here in Oregon. We hope the rain doesn't stop over the next few days! We love the rain here, and the more the better. We love the mountain snows, the more the better. Measuring the snow in feet--halleluja! I realize when weather like this comes into the PacNW, it means problems for the central part of the country as the system moves across the N. America. But, honestly, we love this kind of fall storm!

I'm near Boston and they are calling for high winds and almost 5 inches of rain from Monday night into Wednesday. With the warm weather, most of our trees still have all of their leaves so this could get real messy. our 10 day outlook says nothing about snow just rain and temps in the 50's.

so its 1100 pst we have a few gusts to 30, its rather warm, we are looking for the rain throughout the region we need it. we need the snow pack and we need these for several years in a row. but this isnt new weather for us in the PNW every year we get low 900 mb lows and 100 kt winds, what we dont get is rotation. thanks for including the west in this.

This system produced two separate linear thunderstorm outbreaks as it moved across Missouri this afternoon (Sunday). Brief, heavy rain, sharp and frequent lightening, few moderate wind gusts. The late afternoon squall featured the yellowish hue common near tornadic activity due to a following dry line. Fortunately, no tornado formed except for a small one north of St. Joseph, MO in the country.

My son who is a trucker, is traveling on route 5 in Portland Oregon, and we were on the phone when he suddenly said he had tree limbs and debris hitting his rig. It's dangerous out there now, before the later time expected 🤔 so be careful everyone and don't go out unless you absolutely have to.

    Hey!
Did you notice that the shape of that storms that are happening today is shaped just like a human heart😮
And the likes going through it looks like the veins and arteries that feed the heart itself! That’s so cool!
Like the only cool thing about that storm. Didn’t mean to make light of it. Just super cool looking!
    We love you in NC.
    Please send snow this year😊

590 inches of snow this winter in Minnesota. Massive blizzards with 4 feet of snow, 80 mph winds, and -100 degrees Fahrenheit wind chill. We are going to have snow up until the 1st week of May then all of a sudden strong t storms and hot weather which will melt the snow so fast and the Red River of the North will flood. The Red River Valley will be Lake Agassi again.

I miss your videos, there are other weather guys putting up video, however I like yours so much more as they are easier to follow, the others just get you lost when the jump ahead by weeks, you never know where you are, yours has the day & date on the right.
