    History does not repeat itself! In Reality, everything changes itself. This is the insight that Vipassana teaches. We observe what is happening and know that this too shall pass! When our minds wander, and this is normal for all human beings, they wander either into the past or into the future. This happens
    because, as I learned in medical school, our minds record all our experiences into its' vast network of nerve cells. That is how our minds can play tricks with us when we get ourselves lost in thoughts about the past or future. That of course causes sometimes the confusion and chaos we sometimes experience in our lives. If we practice with meditation to relax our bodies and calm our minds and build our confidence and courage to accept come what may, we can face our insecurities and fears with mindfulness and awareness of the present here and now with resilience, grace and equanimity.

    This meditation this morning allowed me to truly understand what remaining centered really means because I experienced ot this morning. I remained a still observer of everything or so it seems, that was turning or changing about me outside of myself! It seems I never experienced this before! Thank you DTM!

    This morning meditation was very helpful to me, helping me to become an observer of my mind's thoughts and sensations without becoming a reactor to whatever is occurring. Your image of me becoming the center of whatever is occurring around me is a good one....Thanks again for this one....ADB,MD

    The fact that it repeats ‘close your eyes etc’ 2x makes me think this was put together in some artificial way? 😢
