I love fishing from a boat. Not much on fishing off a bank. The bigger the fish I fight, my adrenaline rushing, the happier I am! It's so much fun!! So glad you guys had a good time. Especially with your son. Aaden has turned into a man right in front our eyes. Your little baby boy is gone Mama. It's a bittersweet time ♥️🥰 You are absolutely correct Misty. How fun! We go fishing every summer a couple times at a lake up in the mountains and my girls have been doing it since they were tiny. It's an awesome tradition and we LOVE to eat our Kokanee salmon. I felt a little bit like you, canned 18 half pints and also a full smoker, sealed up and in the freezer. Yummm!

Yes, u have to be careful with ticks! I've had 1halfway embedded in me 3 times, 2 on my shin near my foot & 1 on my stomach. 2 of them was from after picking veggies out of the garden like u & yes okra u have to be so careful bc it grows so fast like cucumbers & get hard real fast. I❤fried, okra & always froze mine too. Happy Homesteading always!😇🥳

Ticks give me the heebie-jeebies! I have had a tick-borne illness before. It wasn't as serious as Lyme disease, but I did have a fever for a few days with muscle aches. My doctor prescribed an antibiotic that I took for a while. After that, any ticks I found on me, I did put them in a bag and label it with the date.
It is amazing to me that something that tiny can carry enough of something to make a person sick. I will read more about it because you have intrigued me.

Wow! What a morning! My family used to go out to West Port, Washington every year and go out fishing on the Charter Boats. It was so much fun! I haven’t gone out since my husband passed away over 11 years ago. But when I think about the fun we had, it brings back so many wonderful memories. Thanks for reminding me of the fishing trips.

😮my husband had lyme disease . It was awful. We didnt know he had it. So it had progressed for a while. We have a wonderful doctor who only deals with lyme disease. High amounts of antibiotics and a year later he is lyme free. There was no bulls eye that we saw. There is 200 strains of lyme disease. He is always in the woods as we live in the country. We never had to worry when we were growing up either. I lived in the city my husband grew up in the country .
We check the grand kids for ticks every night.

What kind of fish were those, and ticks typically do not transmit lyme till after attached 24 hrs, not sure on other forms of tick illnesses, but deer ticks commonly carry Lyme, and yes, didnt carry that when I was a kid either, its all fooled with...Glad he got his fishing trip, looked like fun😊❤

Ticks can also cause Alpha-gal syndrome which can be difficult to diagnose at first, but the basics is that it causes you to become allergic to mammal. The symptoms first appear very similar to food poisoning.

Man that blows my mind, freeze dried watermelon 🤯🤔 but sounds like it may be pretty good. Wow, what kind of fish did they catch? My husband loves fish and sea food. I like fish, but not all of it. Yikes tick, hopefully it didn’t attach anywhere and crawled up to get another place. I got into my stash of Jase case antibiotics as I had some neurofibromas cut out last month, and the scar was healing pretty good, but one place looks like it was getting an infection in it, so out of precaution and
Not wanting to go to the doc, I did some reading, and had some antibiotics for skin infection so I’m taking them, hopefully it will help! 😊

Hey y'all, I am so happy y'all had t time to do this one on one with Aiden. He is almost grown and things will be changing soon. A bad day of fishing is better than any day at work. Fishing with family and friends is a bonus.
I am 60 now I grew up in Hattiesburg and all I remember was rocky mountain spotted fever and malaria and encephalitis. They were scarry enuf for me. I was a medic and nurse in the army for 16 years. We always recommended going to the medics and let them take off the ticks and we sent them off to be tested. I was very good at getting ticks out without leaving anything behind the key was to be slow and patient.
I contracted Human Anaplasmosis with is another tick borne disease with a very similar treatment. In Minnesota there are more and more found every year esp since it can be tested for. Y'all take care God bless, Steven

I tried the Freeze dryer for watermelon and for some reason it didn’t turn out so I dumped it. I don’t know how much time it takes but for some reason, the cantaloupe did good all the other fruit but for some reason, I didn’t do well with the watermelon, so tell me what I need to do in the Freeze dryer with the watermelon

We didn't have lymes here in Michigan for years. Three weeks ago i was diagnosed with lymes. I recognized the symptoms 4 days before i actually found the site i was bitten. I did the round of antibiotics. Now im doing the suplment route due to side effects of lymes. It really stinks.

Do you all ever Fry Okra ? If you all Haven't ate Fried Okra You should TRY IT, You can use Flour or Corn Mill, I think Corn Mill batter is better. I fry it out of the can when I get it at the Store. Oh Have you Ever Pickle Okra ? Or ATE Pickle Okra ? Me I like it Pickle, but Fried Okra is BETTER. I HATE TICKS, I HATE DEER TICKS, I HATE LYME DISEASE, I HATE ALL KINDS OF TICKS, and I HATE LYME DISEASE. I DO NOT TRUST THE CDC I will NEVER TRUST THEM AGAIN.
