This game was magic when I was young. We could sit for hours sharing stories, experiences, thrilling adventures and blood curdling nightmares - all unique and interesting.
As I grew older, I understood that all those stories were extreme cases of buggy fuckupery multiplied because most of our copies were bootleg pirate discs which came with their own unique sets of bugs and "enchantment mods from Vasyan", which were, of course, adding more bugs.
10/10 childhood experience.
The magic is still retained! Fascinating game

I'm from romania...I felt bad for having receding hairline at age 20...but after I played stalker and saw Strelok, the legend of the zone have receding hairline, I learned to respect it

After completing the trilogy I really recommend skipping Anomaly and play anything and everything touched or made by Jekan.
For example:
OGSR Legacy(ShoC Remake with lots of extra stuff that perfectly fits in the world) , Goldensphere OGSR(based on Roadside picnic) , Return to the Zone(Wich has 3 campaigns instead of difficulty select, an extraction story and a secret campaign)
ye his GoldSphere is pure kino beside few moments. Like Wild Territory jumpscares using pictures of real deceased people. Or escaping prison at the start- sometimes the sniper was WAY too good at his job...

shadow of chernobyl is one of those games where you have fun on the first playthrough, and not have any fun on the second
just finished this game and i did not experience one bug with it, flawless, had a great time playing it
I swear anytime Yuri Lowenthal appears in a game, it immediately becomes based; and that game is almost generally considered the "best" if it's in a series.

in one of my playthroughs i gathered all the artifacts i could throughout the game, along with every specimen, i managed to rack up about 180 something jellyfish. After i took each of them out of the box in the 100 rads bar, i dropped them all, ending with the jellyfish, shortly before my game crashing

Oh, and I think that didn't really become clear in the video: It's definitely an FPS and you will shoot a lot of people and mutants, but there is also no reward for it aside from some ammo and sometimes a new weapon. With Mutants you mostly just want to avoid them when you can, as you would only be wasting ammo and health items. Obviously not really possible in the more confined story sections, but otherwise it's often better to stay out of trouble.

4:50 Only if you fire it from the hip. You have to aim down the rib (and use finesse in the form of well-placed, well-timed shots, plus evasive reloading when needed) to be effective with it. This is one of those games that handicaps shotguns by making them throw loose patterns when fired from the hip. But it's not necessarily a handicap, per se, if you can make it work for you rather than against you. Personally, I prefer the way Borderlands 2 handles that by just having shotguns throw their pattern off-center when fired from the hip rather than going loose and wild. I don't recall if BL1 even handicaps shotguns at all when they're fired without aiming down sights.
5:15 The sawed-off TOZ-66 is a "rabbit-ear" (double hammer) sidelock similar to the one used by Mad Max in 'Beyond Thunderdome'. In all the other Mad Max movies, Max uses hammerless boxlocks. Btw, ShoC's sawed-off if the most realistic depiction of a "rabbit-ear" sidelock ever depicted in a video game (not including mods), even to the point that the hammers are properly thumbed back with the thumb rather than being palmed back with the palm like they are in the other S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games. True S.T.A.L.K.E.R. does a good job too, but ShoC did it first.
5:24 I'll never understand why you aim over the rear sight instead of through it with the LR-300. Most mods fix that. OLP Team fixed that in the Oblivion Lost mod way back in 2008, revamping the entire in-world and in-view weapon model, most importantly making the sights line up right.

I always assumed they're radiant because of how basic they are and how they kept generating essentially the same quest just with slightly different parameters. Some are clearly not radiant though
i hope you play the other games too. Clear Sky early game is bizarre, but Call of Pripyat is incredible

Thats a myth. Enemies are most bullet spongy on master and least on rookie.

Also your artifact setup is all wrong, +health artifacts are actually affecting health regen, not max health, while decreasing your resistance to damage. You are actually easier to kill in combat if you keep them on.

The reason you died so many times near the end of the game is cause you were using a trashed armor, there are like several armor spawn locations to account for your armor being damaged when you have no way of backtracking to the traders.

I really wish I had a S.T.A.L.K.E.R. help desk guy. I racked-up 14 mil rubles in the Misery Mod (before it crashed ) and would like to carry on with some new mods. I just don't know how to download the right stuff or configure the files any more :-(

I tried stalker but the ai was so awkward to me i just couldnt get into it. If i started any fight and ran away, even if i was 200 meters away, they knew exactly where i was and had pinpoint accuracy, the hell

Yoshi, I know u mentioned the buggy aspect of this game, but just a tip for you next time you play, install the zrp mod, which not only keeps the game vanilla but fixes the bugs and makes the game more stable. Trust me, it will be a more sober experience for you.
