- A clean title V12 Mercedes for just $1500?! This will probably make for the cheapest V12 build ever! We bought this 2002 Mercedes Benz CL600 sight unseen at SALVAGE auction listed with mystery unknown damage. It has been sitting for nearly 3 years! Will we be able to bring this car back to life? This will be an awesome car to rebuild! This will rival our $850 Mercedes S600 for the most budget V12 ever. Also, straight pipes sound like an insane F1 car, so maybe we'll also make ours sound like a Pagani too! Enjoy!

Bought a cl600 for 900 bucks with a suspension issue. Turned out to be a ruptured line that ended up fixing for 50 bucks. Car only has 100k miles on it. Absolutely love it

P.S. when you start these Mercedes cars you don't hold the key when you turn it in the ignition. When you turn the key let it go as soon as you hear the starter, it will start 😉. Mercedes guy here

When you straight-pipe it, make sure you merge the pipes like I did to my S600. It combines the pulses from the exhaust ports into one to give it a higher-pitched tone.

The CL600 is the most underrated car ever, you got it for an amazing price, those fetch 5-6k, I saw some not such a long time ago at 12k individual leather you can get a 500 for that price, it's the same HP as the CL55. That's a kickass price!

I can't afford to buy cheap cars so I just buy CPO. I rather spend money on monthly payments on a nice car the. Have headaches trying to fix some old car

$1,500 for a CL600, awesome deal and it drives. When this vehicle debuted the MSRP was Base $117,200 the V12 has 362HP, 391 Torque. Adjusted for inflation the price of the vehicle for $117,200 in today's money in the year 2020 would be $168,061.15 close to a two hundred thousand dollar vehicle. Insane how vehicles depreciate. Brand new set of OEM S class or S Class coupe wheels cost more then this whole CL600 you guys paid for hilarious. My saying is depreciation is appreciation. Congrats on you guys find of this big V12 German Gem.

Make sure its Camshaft Position Sensor and not Crankshaft. But either way it's a super easy fix.

Just got my own CL500 a month ago and it’s in great condition. Only had 75k miles and the same AMG wheels as yours. Only thing is the ABC is starting to act up but I’m going to just do coilovers to save myself the headache when it does eventually go all the way out.
Even if all those coded equate into a sensor replacement you guys still got a hell of a deal

This generation CL600 was a HUGE money pit but one hell of a bad ass car.
Do a full car review, changing filters, oil, transmission oil, cleaning injectors, checking sparks and admission valves. After that, clean the codes and they must go away. My mercedes had many issues like those (camshaft sensor, o2 sensor, air mass sensor and many others) and it was just a dirty choke valve!
These CL’s have always been a dream for me. I’ll own a 2005 CL55 eventually

After hearing the service record I thought that the car was not working so they changed everything to fix it
Before you go throwing money at sensors I would look at the wiring for those circuits, I can almost guarantee that they share a power. I'd trace it back to the fuse for that circuit and see if its blown or if the wiring harness is damaged on the power side. If it's blown it's most likely an electrical short before most or all of the loads in the circuit..

This is a great bargain ,these cl600s when maintained are brilliant to own and drive pure pleasure.For the price you done very well 👍.
If the battery went dead for a long time, the computer needs a drive cycle to reboot so it can read all the sensors. Without that, it will trigger codes like crazy. I think!
They always talk about how expensive maintenance is on Mercedes vehicles, I know a shop down the street that's way cheaper than the dealership and they only work on foreigns, you can go to groupon for coupons regarding oil changes for like 60 bucks, you can buy parts online that are decent and have them installed by a reputable shop... It's really not that bad.
Great deal on that CL600 a great car back in the day and still is if you like gas stations. Hope the check engine light is not costly

$1500 for that car seems reasonable, If you know how to work on Mercedes Benz and have the computer to diagnosis them and fix the issue yourself than it’s a great buy becuase the aftermarket part for this vehicle are a bit expensive but it’s a solid vehicle that will last a long time taken will care of

Probably sat for so long it misfired and three engine light when started again. My last 609 was much the same and three same light because of misfire. If it doesn’t clear after a few starts then different issue. Super cool ride and enjoy it
