    This Fiat went from a stock 13hp to 180hp! That math is insane, and it is no longer a question of how fast it is, and more a question of how big your balls are! In reality it's short length would ultimately limit its top speed capabilities, but this car's bread and butter is surely the "everything else". I imagine the 0-60 time is around 2.5 seconds given a driver that is prepared to do this beast justice in the shifting department! And it obviously corners like a kart! By every respect, it's an autocross MONSTER!

    The car was born at Torino (Italy) from 1972 and it remained in production in italy since 1991, and yes, it was producted in polland too!!! but from 1975 to 2000!!! so... It is originaly italian, and then polish too!!! (P.S. sorry for my bad english if i written something wrong!!!)

    I live in Serbia, and factory Zastava WAS and IS in Serbia, we just had a different union then (Now under Fiat). As for 126p, i had one back in the day. And although it resembles fiat127, has nothing to do with it, check a little better. It's based on fiat500, and hass all mechanics of fiat500. Car we had in Zastava (zastava 750), was based on fiat600 (looks the same), and there never has been another "FICA" from Zastava. Wiki a little.

    Actually it was Yugoslavia ( not serbia ) and yes they had the licence for Fiat 500 wich was the 1st Zastava. The later Zastava was built on Fiat 127 base. This here is a Fiat 126p ( p for Polski FIat ) wich was the polish version of Fiat 126 /600 Bambino.

    Serbia never had licence for the original fiat 500. We had Zastava 750, which was a tad bigger, and had 750cc engine (looked somewhat different too). Same car that was produced by seat about the same time.
    And 126p IS really original fiat 500, with different looks. All the mechanics are the same.

    NIce build... Pity is has the" big bang" cross-plane motor.. Would have preferred it powered by a later R-1 motor..
    The gear shifts were very slow...any reason? The Yamaha box shifts very fast normally..Still I'd have it in a second..Would love a street-legal version!! What fun!!

    wonder why they built it with 2 exhausts- 2 into 1 one each side, the r1 has a 4 into 1 I think. broaden the power band maybe?

    • @iamtherealzombie
      @iamtherealzombie 10 лет назад

      R1's since 2004 have had dual undertail exhausts (4 into 1 into 2) not entirely sure which model year this one is, but the comments seem to suggest it's a crossplane (2009+) which would definitely have had 2 exhaust canisters.

    OMG what a noobs.. So Fiat 500 is Serbian, and Brazilian? It was produced in Serbia Kragujevac in Brazil and few other countries.. :D
    Fiat is Italian, and if they sold license to other company so they can supply enough cars, that doesn't make it Polish, Serbian, Brazilian, or any other than Italian produced in other country.. :)
    Or you think Honda Civic is Turkish product as they have assembled some time, after that England, and now it's back in Japan.. :D

      The fiat 500 originally made 13hp and weighed 1100lbs.this swap adds no extra weight and gives the car a 180hp drivetrain. Do the math. This guy is obviously learning how to drive it still and isn't getting high into the revs where it makes all its power, but it's really fast. Like, supercar fast. So yes, from this video it doesn't seem worth it, but it most certainly is one of the ultimate swaps of this generation!
