I can see this being very useful for people who are unable to use a push mower and a riding mower is too big for their lawn. Even people with riding mowers need a smaller mower for sections of their lawn.
Steve, I figured out for $3000. I can pay my lawn person to mow my yard for the next 16 years. Really cool toy though. I love your videos, keep up the good work.
Holly Crap! Where does this person exist? In my area of the world $3000 will get you a lawn service for 4 years max.... and we have 4 seasons, and only 2 seasons of grass growing.

Use a plastic cutting board to make side bumpers of a suitable size, round the edges so that the branches do not stick, attach them with double-sided tape. But it's too late now that it's already scratched, but as a tip for others.
This is the coolest thing EVER!!!! I remember seeing an electric self propelled AI mower but it scanned the area and mowed by itself this is way cooler all it needs is a FPV option so you can sit down and go at it 😁 super cool CAP 👍🏻and in the long run this could very well be worth the price✌🏼
This is a neat machine and a great review of it. If I were not so lazy I would buy one. I don’t like yard work so for $ 1800 a year I get my lawn mowed, edged and the grass bagged. I don’t have to lift a finger and have more time to play with my drones. 😂👍👍
Awesome! I have an old battery powered mower that I’ve been thinking about converting to remote control. The batteries are dead so I need to come up with a great 48v battery setup and find a couple of good drive motors. Great video I wish I could afford one. One idea if they are listening a snow plow attachment would be great on this guy with the weight. I’m thinking about also setting up an RC car for that purpose in the future! 👍🏾👍🏾
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 not just remote, but automatous. Imagine it, you have a sensor, and as soon as the snow gets to a certain level the snow blower rolls out of it's hut and starts doing it's thing. You'd maybe need to take the time in to consideration too. Your auto snow blower starting up at 3am, isn't going to net you many friends, even if it is electric.
Steve, when you do the 180 turn at the end of a row, does it come back true to 180 or do you have to make an adjustment? Otherwise, looks like a cool product that certainly has a niche market. Thanks for all your testing and comments, we ALL appreciate your unbiased reviews.
It's cool and I'm glad it exists for people who can't mow, but I'm really just waiting for an AI robot who does all the mowing, edging, trimming, blowing, sweeping, weeding, watering, seeding, and fertilizing.
At least ot looks a little more functional than the other ones i watched. They looked like Roomba for your lawn. The didnt even have a bag. Thats funny. All these people including a dad wanting to buy it for his kid wanting to start a business.😅😂 Back when i was a kid who mowed lawns we actually worked!😅😂
Correct… holding one of the buttons down is the old “DEAD MAN STICK” that exists in dangerous machinery. Once released the Mowrator stops. All for safety.
I remember people shoving apples and oranges into the steering wheel of Teslas to get around the deadman checks for self driving. I'll bet there's limitless ways to keep that momentary switch held down and just focus on the sticks. Albeit at the cost of safety.
Really cool but by the time someone buys one, they could pay an enterprising kid (like in the van) to mow many many times. Even at $50/mow it would be about 48 mows to buy the base model and you wouldn't even have to stand there running it - could be riding the eMTB instead!!!! Next house (hopefully soon) we are downsizing to a much smaller yard where I don't need riding mowers or a small fortune to hire a crew to deal with stupid grass. I'd zeroscape if it wasn't midwest and would instantly turn into a rocky weed patch without a ridiculous amount of toxic spray. Could be good for some hazardous slopes that are a danger to walk/ride - especially for a commercial mower where mitigating some employee injury risk would be a financial no-brainer.
I built a Brigs & Straton 20" RC Lawn Mower near 30 years ago... BTW... 5:40... A WaterProof rating does not mean it can cut Wet Grass.... or Seaweed under water...
Great mower Steve but ….. I’d rather stick with my Husqvarna mower… The Robomower just cuts & goes to recharges itself .. easily handles rain & wet grass but I guess for smaller lawns 😀👍
Way cool!!! I’m surprised you didn’t convert it to FPV, jk! I wonder how long before they add a weed-eater on a robotic arm so the operator can get those hard to reach places and for edging. What’s the range of the radio? Does it have gps and return to home feature? Excellent review of an Excellent product.
One more observation, the manual refers "The filter at the position indicated by the two arrows needs to be cleaned regularly". This label didn't come on my equipment and I can't locate these filters. Can anyone tell me how to do it?
@@nunoaleixo1162Strange. A filter usually refers to a part of the machine that pulls in air to a sensor & the filter would keep debris out of the sensor.
I saw a price of $699 and I thought wow that's expensive, then I realised that was the price for the battery...the small battery, lol. I know it's different in N America, folk have more land, and money. With taller grass or obstacles it becomes more efficient to cut while moving backwards. However, the speed of moving backwards is very slow. Any way to increase speed in reverse?
Reverse is a set speed for safety since there are no sensors or bumper in the rear. I can’t change the speed myself. The company would have to unlock that option.
My guess is this mower wasn't developed with RC control as the end point. They probably intend to incorporate self-driving auto-pilot into this design in the near future. At that point, I'll spend the $$$$.
