I didnt realize people were calling it ugly. Definitely can see why but its so beautiful to me. Ive already styled it several ways
I think that the end conclusion is that the deer mask goes well with season of flight stuff.
I got the big feathers head accesories, the one that's an ultimate gift, and they mix 100 times better than the horns that are supposed to match with it, in terms of colors and shapes.
I feel that too. It's a very bright and multicoloured mask. with a lack of antlers or ears for being a deer mask, which is what makes it hard to style. But if you find the right accessories and hair it can work.
A lot of people were hopeful this would be a second version or the Season of Gratitude Deer mask. It's hard for me to style an outfit, this mask had so much potential...
I'm not crazy about the design. I didn't even know it was a deer LOL. but I understand the collab and have a few looks to wear with it now. I also like the look you created 🥰!

the braids with beads? Okay makes sense since it kinda matches colour wise.
there's probably a way to style it that you would like. for me, I wanna style it with the witch hat and some dark clothes of the Halloween event since I think black clothes would suit the mask's colors, but I gotta wait for Days Of Mishief for that ! :') ( I just style it with my long haie, days of love flower crown, a cape from the Season of Enchantements ( the cape is from the old man. ) and the Princess dress from the Deer season for now ! )

@@astridavocado Wow! That’s so cool to hear! In regards to rolling your r’s, you can get away with keeping them unrolled in some strains of the Kaapse dialect. Not sure if your partner speaks Afrikaner Afrikaans or Kaaps, but it’s a bit of a life hack. Then again I’m biased, eks van die kaap. Ons gebruik meer Engelse leenwoorde as die “afrikaner” mense, maar dis nader aan die oorspronklike “kombuistaal”!

I think the reason many people call it ugly is that it
A. is much more simplified compared to the gratitude mask or passage masks
B. has more colours which can make a challenging colour pallet
C. lacks most features of a deer mask especially ears and antlers.
D. it's eyes look sleepy rather than awake.
It just stands out from other deer masks. It's not ugly persay, but without knowing how best to work with the mask, it can become a challenge to work with especially because there's not a lot of things that work well with it. that frustration in knowing there's a lot of other things that work better may result in people calling it ugly

How do you get the beach towel capes
from days of summer/sunlight
I got these from an event (bought with event tickets), as AverageHamster said - from days of Sunlight. This is an annual event which we last had in Sept 2023 - so you might be able to grab one at the next one :)

Its not ugly. But you also cant style it with a lot of stuff, which is really hard for players who started recently. And its price is just...too much. It makes me scared looking at it
The mask is def growing in me, what would you recommend I style it with? I def think it was too pricey for what it is... a lot of things are getting way more expensive in sky.
The mask looks eons better with the Days of Feast antlers.

Nothing wrong with the eyes and colors, they're really cool aspects of it, but the shape is so offfff😭😭😭😭😭 it would make sense with the antlers but of course they are sold separate🤣. It looks so weird with more smaller hair. Its so hard to make the proportions with hair look not-weird.

I'm loving the strong opinions on this mask... I like that we all have our different tastes. Just like skykids and their different outfit choices we are all different too :)
The mask's expression looks so fed-up or sassy, I mainly love It because of that lol.
I just wish there was a toggle for it so we could change the eye shape cuz that's the only thing I have a problem with. The eyes make it look like my existence is a burden

When I saw this mask, I decided to add to in my imaginary wish-list, and so, i got it! It fits my outfit surprisingly well:D (I have a white-blue outfit, so yellow lines bring a nice complementary colour!)
I agree that the eyes give it a fed-up expression, although it's kinda funny
Also, I guess it fits cuz I have a 10:05 hairstyle

I find the mask to be beautiful. I love it and have been using it since it came out. Combines very well with all white items.

I don't mind since it white colour and blink eyes. Default mask yellowish and most mask are black and repetitive design and color. I hope in future there is white mask with 2 eyes no pattern on mask

Yes the mask costs 120 candles and will be gone on the 1st of april. If you have like idk less than 80 candles you better buy candle packs if you want that mask.
The flower will stay and be a permanent item though.
I like how the eyes of this mask make you look like you're annoyed and tired of bullshit. That's the vibe I wanted and it's pretty too except for it's protruding mouth which, ah, I don't like that at all. Besides, it doesn't even resemble a deer so I don't get the purpose of the jaw this mask has. I am currently wearing it with valley elder hair, samurai pants from prophecy and blue cape with yellow highlights but something's not right so here I am.
Well, I have frantic stage outfit. I got it simply for the purpose of looking mysterious and dark. This combined with deer mask actually works well. I like this idea.

@@astridavocado yes, thats it! Together with this hairstyle, the deer mask becomes similar to the porcelain kitsune mask from the engravings.
It’s goes best with the moth and forester hair imo. Honestly the trick is to just get a really good matching outfit with it that makes up for the messed up side profile. But funny thing there’s almost none…
I am skipping it because I am not in a position to spend 120 candles on a mask. There are too many things to buy and save candles for. 🙌🏻

I know what you mean, like I look at it and wonder what it is I don't like (tbh it is growing on me) but without the right hair and angle the proportions are so weird. Did you end up getting it?

I'll be making multiple comments so consider this part 1.
*Deer Mask has the following*
- A Polychromal (or multicoloured) pallet with white as a main colour, gold as a secondary colour, and a variety of bright colours as accents
-No antlers or ears despite being a deer based mask.
-Blinking partial or cresent eyes that look kinda sleepy tbh
Because the mask has those features especially the top two, many people find the mask hard to style with other outfits. In my mind I find several things that if done well, can make this mask work as a part of your outfit. So let's see those goals and how we can work on them. (goals are in the replies) Note there still needs to be experimentation on my end.
Consider this part 2 of the comments on how to style probably one of the most challenging masks to work with.
FIRST GOAL
*Complete the animal look or idea*
-This can be done throughout, but should especially be done around the mask itself as that will make it easier to work with.
-use something with ears, antlers, or even feathers around your head
>For antlers and maybe ears you can use any of the IAP antlers (which I sadly don't have) feast antlers, the gift of nine colored deer antlers --if you manage to get them--, and maybe the mischief antlers. You may want to try the yeti horns, or feather accessories as well, if you want a less deer like approach.
>For a just ears approach use a hairstyle essory that has ears or an ears adjacent feature some examples would be mischief cat ears, and the ult hair from this season
>With feathers use a feather accessory that you like. all of them are from flight though I think
-For "animal in hiding" use something to "hide" the ears e.g. a hat, or a hood
>A hairstyle that is a hat does this job well Such as the feast hat, or rainbow beanie
>If you don't have a hairstyle hat, maybe use an accessory hat. Use a hat that is big enough to reasonably stuff some ears under sunbather, and sunlight hats work well. Style? not as much.
-There are hairstyles that do something in-between also work well e.g. the frightened stage hand covers ears but doesn't hide them. Same with journey pack hairstyle
-Of course you can always combine tips e.g a hat with ears to make it look like there are holes for the ears to stick out
