Btw, this video does not contain paid promotion. RUclips got stricter rules these days and if I have received anything of value I need declare it as "paid promotion" even when its just a free ski pole.
As a marketer in the US, it has always been this way. The language isn't very clear. Anything recieved from a brand is considered a payment and must be declared. Love your content.
@@StompItTutorials interesting. How has Switzerland changed their handling of this? I was under the impression that as RUclips is a US based platform, anything published there must follow US FTC laws.
I got the Atomic Backland FR last season and love it for the most part. I agree with the handle being really annoying because it builds up with snow. I removed my straps so didn't notice the small loop. The screwdrivers are clutch!
Great. Job J. My poles are Volant poles. Back before you were born, the was a ski company that made a half steel ski. The top was steel. The were great. I still have them. The poles are something else altogether. Carbon fiber. 1/4 inch diameter. My go to poles the last 35 years.
That wall of amazing skis tho! I want that quiver! Bent chetler 100 and 120s from various seasons, plus the redster slalom and gs, plus line blade for carving!!! And then some. I’m drooling over that quiver!
I want the Line grab tab the Scott pull release and the Bent Chet binding and tools! But, so far I'm using what I haven't broken or lost yet. Excellent reviews. Love the pole yeeting at the end!
the releasing wrist strap is useful in north America. It is for skiing in the trees, if your pole gets caught on a branch it will release so you don't get yanked back and dislocate a shoulder. Either way, best poles are at the local thrift shop.
Ayy more videos! I just bought some poles a few weeks ago. Pretty basic swix aluminum ski poles, nothing fancy. They were however already on sale and I bought them during a ski shop sale that took an extra 25% off the already discounted price. Ended up being about $22 usd in the end. Best deal I've ever had on poles.
Nice tips. I got Leki Blue Bird Vario S and I am so satisfied. I have also Leki gloves so I don't need a strap because I have a loop on gloves and a little hook on poles. Cheers
Take a look at the 4FRNT carbon-aluminum adjustable poles. Cool design - carbon upper where you can save weight and are unlikely to get edge strikes and titanal lower for durability. Baskets could be stiffer, but they have become my current favorites. Second would be good old reliable Scott Team Issue S4 poles with powder baskets!
Could you do a review on bindings as I have the shift binding on a line out line ski which i ski the whole time on however it comes out sometimes even with the din on super high
Can you make a video about the Bent Chetler 100 mounting points. Where to mount the bindings for different types of skiers. Thx and lot's of love from Austria🇦🇹 keep up the good videos. Ps: do you know where I can get the new Bent Chetler 100 for the best price? Thx
On the Scott pole, can’t you adjust the clamp force by turning the clamp in open position. On my skipole you can do that, I have another brand but the clamp seems similar. Keep up the good work, jag gillar dina videos.
You should have included the Salomon Element vario pole. I use it since 2012 or 13 so long ago that i cant remember when i bought it. Lower part is 14mm Carbon upper part aluminium a bit thicker. The best pole i ever had and probably the best i will ever have, seems like they are going to live for ever 😂😂.
I´ve slowly been moving the bindings more and more forwards. On my freestyle Bent Chetlers i go +6 from recommended which is -1.5 or so from center. I made a video on that too that will be dropping soon. But I recommend most all mountain shredders to go more back than that like -4 from true center.
I caught an edge on a rail a couple seasons back, rolled out of it pretty easily, stopped before the next feature and realized my pole had levered my thumb back and it was bad. Ended up fracturing a bone, tearing a tendon, and being unable to do much of anything for several months in a cast. I always use poles with a detachable safety strap now. Convenience is nice, but a silly injury that can be avoided so easily just isn't worth it again.
Right there with you! I actually refuse to put my hands in the straps anymore. My hand was messed up for months. I'll have to look into the safety release ones.
I prefer to ski without poles inside the resort boundaries and leave the foolish arm waving for the snowboarders. Out of bounds though it feels wrong without them.
Please inform people that the reason they have the safety strap on the pole is in case you're caught in an avalanche. If you have regular strap on your pole your hand will be stuck and you won't be able to operate an airbag. happened to a french freerider : ruclips.net/video/D6dEBgrQp0Q/видео.html
why mention that aluminum creates 11.5ton co2/ton but not mention the pollution from composites manufactured in countries like china? Its also worth noting aluminum is recyclable and the composite poles are not
@@StompItTutorials for whatever reason I thought the scott poles were not, looking now I see that you said they are aluminum. have you thought about getting some bamboo poles just for fun? they are low pollution, lightweight and very cool

Solid stiff skis, great for learning rails and jumps

I break 5-6 pairs a year, most of them end up being mismatched lost and found poles, or pieces of bamboo if I'm really desperate...
What's your opinion on the new Bent Chetler 120 and would you recommend it?
Yes if your strong enough and ski deep enough pow! :) Review on that is coming soon.

Will most ski shops still do adjustments on very old bindings?
depends on how old we are talking. But generally yes they can help.
Should I get expensive poles? I’m always scared they will break. I had carbon ones and they broke
not worth the investment unless you are ski touring.
can u do a review on a faction ski pole plss ty
what do you think with faction poles
"My girlfriend got rid of it for me. Not cool." that had me dying
Not cool indeed. I´ll tell her from you.

Ski lineup video?
Jens im 14 and asking if i should buy skis or rent some until im 19 (dont grow anymore)
It depends on how much you ski. In your age I was skiing 4 days a week for 4 months a year then I had to buy new skis every year more or less.
@@StompItTutorials Thank for ur answer! Appreciate it.
what is the best starter freestyle skiis?
Line honeybadgers imo
Goode ski poles!
Ngl, I have never understood the difference between "good" and "bad" poles, they're mostly for balance, what's the point of having nice ones?
It definitely makes a difference when ski touring. But at the resort, as long as they are the right length, it doesn't matter.
The best ski poles are ones that don't get stolen from the rack
