Now, that's a band, full pelt, raging I never seen them live, always loved Whiplash, they should have been massive, no one sounded like them, like getting hit by a truck, what a band, Tony Bono man, one of the best bass players to ever pick up the instrument, legend of a man, held it all together.
00:00 Respect The Dead 03:50 Power Thrashing Death 09:10 Red Bomb 15:17 Message In Blood 19:49 Killing on Monroe Street 23:28 Spit on Your Grave 27:15 Eternal Eyes 36:05 Warmonger 39:30 Stage Dive 42:40 Nailed To The Cross
I somehow missed out on this band back in the 80’s, which is odd because I was listening to this type of stuff at that time. I’m definitely gonna have to go back and check out these guys’ albums, cause this live stuff is killing.
Great fuckin GOOD OLD TIMES....i'm italian and I obviousely i was in Italy but THE ATTITUDE WAS THE FUCKIN SAME......we listened to WHIPLASH in this discoteque called Nautilus in which i grew up as a Thrasher,we bought the record and banged to these songs every sunday afternoon at the end of the afternoon....we were 10/12 young kids completely out of mind in this HUGE sala with a fuckin noisy volume!!!! Grest Good Old Times in wich we were THE FEW AND THE PROUD about this great music....and the MIGHTY LORD IS AN HEADBANGER,no doubt about it 🤘🏻😇☝🏻
Tony Portaro is easily one of the cornerstones of THRASH, and I'd put his leads up against Mustaine (who also kills) any day. I also love thst Scaglione totally murders the kit, and played some stuff significantly faster live, total monster. Eternal hails!!!
Over Anthrax and Megadeth anyday. Portaro should've never step down as a vocalist. I don't know how they didn't get bigger. Maybe that cover for P&P didn't help, also delaying release by 1986 instead of releasing it in 1985. By 1986 it was overshadowed by well known behemoths from Darkness Descends to RiB , MoP etc. But for 1985 there are no better releases than P&P other than Hell Awaits and Seven Churches. Yes, I'll put it over BBB also.
