And the father has to claim to kid for the kid to get SS after they pass, that may not have occurred - and to get the SS for a child after a parent passes tends to be a long process and not easy to complete if the mom doesn’t push the process and have the right guidance. It’s not an instant thing to get child support from birth father…also if you get child support then that means court orders custody and visitation and a lot of women don’t want to go to court and possibly face mandated substance tests. But I do wonder why she isn’t getting state welfare!

And the father has to claim to kid for the kid to get SS after they pass, that may not have occurred - and to get the SS for a child after a parent passes tends to be a long process and not easy to complete if the mom doesn’t push the process and have the right guidance. It’s not an instant thing to get child support from birth father…also if you get child support then that means court orders custody and visitation and a lot of women don’t want to go to court and possibly face mandated substance tests. But I do wonder why she isn’t getting state welfare!
She doesn’t get welfare payments - I know a lot of housing programs will only take women if they have kids, so maybe she prefers to be houseless?

- boil it and then filter it (I have 4 gravity fed 10 gal 7 stage filters)
- if looks clean and ur desperate, add in sodium hyperchlorite (1:500 strength) and leave for a few hours to kill any pathogens or bacteria
- if you don’t have hyperchlorite, or a fire to boil or a filter… then strain the clean lake water through layers of fabric (inspect for particles or clarity), place in a clear 5 gal transparent glass or plastic bottle and leave in the direct sun for the whole day (UV light and solar heat will kill 99% of any germs or bacteria)
