    We once got off the train at Brading to walk to Bembridge. We got lost after 30 seconds and when we thought we found the correct footpath, we asked a young chap "what's down that path?" to which he replied "my grandads shed". He said it in such a way that if we wanted to see his grandads shed he wouldn't have minded.

Also any desert by Sara Lee which were frozen cakes etc. When I was younger and living at home my mum would have her choir members round for a sing song and I’d always have one eye on the defrosting cake in the kitchen, ready for afters. Idk if you have them there but they're a snapple brand thing and it's a drink that comes in different really nice flavors and each is named after something like rain, fire, air, sun, moon, etc. Very tasty. There are a lot of flavors of things that have gone now like certain Ben and Jerry's flavors and stuff like that that I used to love. For that particular example my favorite was Vermonty Python. Soooooooo gooooooodd
    Also I've realized something. Your cutaways where you just show scenery with pretty soothing music reminds me of a show I used to watch as a kid called Little Bear. The music was all like that and the art was so pretty. Makes me feel really nostalgic for it.

    Personally I miss Brannigans ham and mustard crisps. But when googling Viennetta to show a foreign friend once I stumbled on a forum just full of people from all over the world lamenting the loss of various flavours of Viennetta, the closure of the Walls factory shop where people used to buy Viennetta 'seconds' because "some idiot hurt themselves on one of the freezers and decided to sue". There was someone in Alabama sharing that they'd sighted some caramel biscuit Viennetta in a local supermarket, which created a real buzz in the forum. I felt like I was in some sort of Viennetta-obsessed twilight zone and reckon my foreign friend went away with the belief that english-speaking people are mental.

      I am still sad they stopped making those crisps. They tasted more like mustard than real mustard. I did not know about these many different flavours of Viennetta. But I got a Birthday Cake special edition one for £1 at Tesco's recently.

    I miss the Jamaica Rum Chocolate bar very much indeed. I used to chuck all my pocket money on that one thing when I was 6 or 7. 150 yards to the newsagents. Gobbled up by the time I got home. They don't do it now. I put it as a request for my Secret Santa recently (age 50 something), coz I found something online that was called that. It was just a block of very dark chocolate. Worst Christmas ever! Like discovering that Willy Wonka doesn't exist.

    Marek... Stop being mean to pigeons. Also what does "nice one" actually mean? You do say it a lot but sometimes you say it in a different context. I would also like to congratulate you on the cherry tomatoes you ate with your lunch last time. I fear the lack of vegetable encouragement has left you thinking no one cares about you eating a vegetable. I do care deeply about your colon amongst other parts of you. How about some onion, lettuce or even more tomato with your sausage sandwich. Or maybe a side salad. Cucumber? Also if you like tomato relish then you will like eating in NZ. Nearly every café in NZ serves food with a side of tomato relish regardless of if you want it or not. Even food you wouldn't think to pair with tomato relish will come with tomato relish. I have accustomed myself to this, but it was disconcerting for the first few years of being here. And the food that I can't get my hands on is strawberry laces... but my UK MIL asked what I wanted for Xmas. I asked for 1 packet of Tescos Strawberry Laces. So I may be eating them very soon... I'm rubbing my hands in glee and smirking.

    • @cdwc
      @cdwc  Год назад +1

      Tell your Mother in Law you can get three packs of strawberry laces for a pound. You should expect at least three in your present.
