I'm teaching a film class to Middle Schoolers in Louisiana and I just want to say your channel has been an incredible resource! Thanks for putting out this phenomenal content for free. My students look forward to "British Guy" videos each week.
This is what I'm talking about. The silent heroes behind StudioBinder, the editors the researchers, the animators, the sound designers, the directors, and the rest who were involved in making this video, salute you guys!! Honestly, you guys have single-handedly provided so much value to all of us. Wish you guys were given enough credit! Thanks for doing what you do, it's really making a difference. I live in the Himalayas and getting such exposure in the real world is something unthinkable, this video and the other ones bring that value to me. Thanks, again guys, wish you folks at StudioBinder good health for you and your families, wish you folks happiness and lots of success in your own personal endeavours. Take care ya'll, the effort you've put into this is helping someone in learning, in helping them see a ray of light in the world. Got too emotional here but I mean it. Love to you! thanks for giving these to us for free! Hope you come across this
Fascinating. I can see why there is now a lot of interest in old film lenses. Far from optically perfect, but they give a mood that perfect lenses aren't capable of.
Very interesting video. Thomas Newton Siegel’s cinematography is so underrated. He will get an Oscar nomination someday and maybe even win one. Gear video as always Studio Binder.
Great video. Describes storytelling in detail from the perspective of how lens choices, film stock and other aspects of gear can contribute to it to make it richer and more creative. Thanks, wasn't focusing on this (no pun intended) but I'm now thinking about ways to incorporate the lessons in this video.
Excellent video guys!! Love it when DoPs explain how they were able to match the artistic side (mood, atmosphere, color palette) with the practical one (lenses & camera techniques). I find that so much more informative than mere theories. A little cinematography gem.👍🎥
You can show me fast cut trailers all as you want, but if I see a short explanation of the filmmakers to their artistic choices and thought process, you can sell me any film. Thank you so much for your videos, keep up the great work! Especially in cooperation with said DoPs, editors, directors etc.
Everyone should go watch Thomas Flight’s video about Bohemian Rhapsody’s bad editing so that they never repeat these mistakes. Cinematography isn’t just about pretty pictures.
Considering that here are pro editors, I have one important question. Well in my case I am learning video editing theory, rules, techniques and practicing all of that in Kdenlive video editor. Can I achieve 100% of my knowledge and be a good editor in that software, I mean what you pro can tell me ,is Kdenlive enough good software, what is your opinion?
Shoot a short film on your phone! We also have a series on the process of making a short film, but you don't have to do it on the scale we did ruclips.net/video/69ZNTBB8IXQ/видео.html
Can you make video about some of these directors? Sergio Leone Akira Kurosawa David Lynch Federico Felini Brian Depalma James Cameron Steven Spielberg Alfred Hitchckok Peter Bogdanovich Roman Polanski Francis Ford Copolla Robert Zemeckis

Does he responsible for the editing?
@@johannsebastianbach5530 No, just cinematography
True, but cinematography and editing are two different aspects of filmmaking
He’s a master.

_Da 5 Bloods_ is the worst film Spike Lee ever made. It's comparable to Scorcesse's _The Irishman_ - long boring rubbish
I think he's made worse haha
