The charging speed in the I5 is pretty quick. I could see it biting me by finishing the charge to 80% before I could get back out to the car if you had anything you needed to do at a stop. But if you are in a rush it seems like you could keep moving along nearly as fast as with a ICE. Those efficiency numbers you were getting were pretty bad though. Would be nice to be able to stretch out some longer distances between charging stops when trying to make good time.
Glad you enjoyed your trip through God's country. And in an Ioniq 5 no less!! We just got a '24 Ioniq 5 SEL RWD on April 2 and love it. One road trip so far. FL to OH to IA and back to FL. It makes road trips almost as fast as a gas car. And I love the comfort but my wife complains about the lack of lumbar support in the manual passenger seat after several hours on the road. As for the air conditioning anomaly you encountered while charging, we've had something similar happen but not enough times to actually get a handle on what's circumstances lead to what conditions. But since the battery and cabin cooling are shared, I can see how a hot battery would take priority over a hot cabin. But usually, the car is ready to go by the time we've finished "going" so to speak. Once back on the road, the battery seems to cool down in just a few minutes. You can see the power to the HVAC dropping in the electrical usage screen on the infotainment. It's far from a perfect car, but it checks most of my boxes. Glad you liked it too.
Glad you made to Denver. Just watched your vid. I believe you were at the meetup with Patrick and Liv at Moru coffee shop? Didn’t get a chance to introduce myself, the one with the puppy. Lues
Hello sir do you ever experienced on your id.4 tha all of door not unlocked with remote or manually. I had that problem this morning and I am not able to unlock. I called dealership and they don’t know what happened. They want me to tow car to the dealership. What should I do to unlock the door. If you know what to do let me know thanks
@@theaverageev hello sir so I was able to unlock my car manually and I try to start car but it’s says key is not recognized. Any idea why it’s says that
@@daxpatel72 my only thought is maybe the battery is dead on your FOB? That could be causing all your issues. You can put it in the cupholder with the key symbol? See if that helps? This is so strange!
