It's 2024 and I'm watching one of my Top 10 songs of all time from Brunei, reminiscing my youth in the 80s. Classic 80s band who could actually deliver on-stage. The opening act blew away the main act.
Dudes got some viciously fast hands! This album was pritty massive here in the USA. It got total respect from all us metal heads here in the good ol USA.. plus we found out the lead vocalist couldnt speak a lick of English, well.. thats what was going round and the dude took an extra long time to do it in english and we all had even more extra massive respect for LOUDNESS then. It was accepted by all Americans... and us start up musicians knew the lead guitar player wanst fking around! The dudes straight viscous and legit in his light8ng fast playing. Most all my friends and i all when out and bpught this album. It just came out of nowhere! And BOOOOOMMMM... LOUDNESS! They were the talk at all the house parties.. and trust me, u didnt want to be caught without a copy of thunder in the east! I still rock this album today! I have it on cassette.. cd.. and my 1st copy when it 1st came out, the album! Dont get it twisted.. asians absolutely can and do rock hard.. just checkout all the little asian kids rippin it up on a guitar, drums.. bass.. piano and YES....... THE VIOLIN. Lol.. all girl asian bands, 10 years and under metal bands.. asian can definitely rock with me any time!👍✌🤘
Golden days of not giving a damn about tomorrow and living for the now. Can't grin any bigger about all the memories~ god the 80's were fucking awesome.
Saw this tour in Tucson Az. They owned Motley Crue. Shit, even a rotating drum set solo couldn't top the heaviness, the precision chops that Loudness laid down.. These guys f'n rocked!!! One of the best live performances I had the opportunity to see.
In 1985 a friend and I were walking down North Salina St. in downtown Syracuse NY, we were picking up last minute things for the Loudness show (they were playing at a bar called USA Sams)and we saw a limo parked in front of a head shop and these guys come walking out with bags in hand, they looked at us and gave us the horns up, I gave them the horns up and said Loudness and they bowed, later on that day I went to USA Sams to help set up for the show and they recognized me and gave me the horns up again, not only are they one of the best bands of the 80’s, they were the most professional and tight bands I worked with, they were perfectionist in every way. RIP Munetaka Higuchi
Wow, this is great! Thanks for sharing! I remember the first time I heard this cassette. High school in my friends 1977 Camaro...brown Camaro of course. Ha Ha. I was hooked on the band and especially Akira's guitar playing.
Loudness are real musicians, motley crue from what I heard where blew of the stage routinely, I seen crue, never seen loudness, but had a cassette of them, they where good.
She wants to run, goin' on, point of no return No looking back, hope is gone, just a slow burning Lost without love, so she tries to get all she can Into the night, desperate eyes, look for helping hands Like a scream, the siren's call Now it seems she's lost to all Moving slow, and trapped in pain Don't run with heavy chains What's left is torn apart Heavy chains on heavy heart Her broken life Her broken heart Broken promises lost and found Just a knife Into her heart Keeping her down What's left is ripped apart Heavy chains on heavy heart Broken pieces of life Broken pieces of heart Broken pieces of promises lost and found Heavy chains like a knife Cutting into her heart Keeping her down Ohh, heavy chains! PS, I was at this show, METAL!
big time... Crue was al theatrics, explosions, yadayada... Loudness was WAY above Crue. People that never HEARD of Loudness were totally into it even before half their set was done.
Saw Loudness on this same tour in Sacramento, CA. Thank God I got to see them, at least once! Funny that Motley Crue was touring in support of their worst album and Loudness, in support of their best. Akira Takasaki is easily one of the greatest guitarists of all-time!!!
Yeah you can tell how great Loudness is as a metal band. I've never seen them live unfortunately but I have a few of their concert vids. I love their music.
These guys are great. One of the best guitar songs of all time...period.
I was 14 yrs old and my older brother took me to crue/loudness show and loudness completely blew crue away. The 80s were the best
I believe that. They were all pros.
Akira is pure Gold!!

Motley crue was sorry to have this band open.....blew them away
Totally! Even a rotating drumset couldn't top the chops of loudness
I was at this show, and remember thinking if I were Motley Crue I'd get back on the bus and go home. Mr. Takasaki was on that night.
@Scott Leoski ... Allentown Fairgrounds, Allentown, Pa.
@Scott Leoski I wanted to be there, but didn't make it... I should have gone.
The best japanese metal band

Hell yeah Loudness! They are awesome! Killer music from a golden time. To this day these guys have a huge following in the world!
Akira banging that toggle switch multiple times during his solo is insane. Thank god I found this album as a teenager in the 80s.
Japanese greatest rock band..legend
Yo I'm hear/here in 2024. These times were special.
I used to crank this on my turntable as a teen. Something incredible about Akira Takasaki's tone. It was magical.
Was at this show. Great Allentown Fair. Ritchie Blackmore said this was his favorite place he's played for the sound his guitar made there
Loudness played with heart..Crue played for money and fame.
Yup. A world of difference.
Setujuuuu
\,,/ MOTLEY CRUE \,,/
Betul sgt..tepat..patut motley crue yg opening utk Loudness..hehe...sure terkujat Crue tengok depa ni main.."alamak dasat depa ni, malu kita.."

Amazing!
I was at the Loudness/Motley show , but the one at the Philadelphia Spectrum '85 ..... my first Metal show..I was 16 and I was hooked ever since!!
This album was epic ,I bought the next four Albums after this and Akiras tusk of the jaquar
wow, what a great band and songs, and the guitar work is brilliant and soulful, thank you Mr Takasaki, your greatness still inspire me to this day 🤘💥🌹
Wow, this is great! Thanks for sharing! I remember the first time I heard this cassette. High school in my friends 1977 Camaro...brown Camaro of course. Ha Ha. I was hooked on the band and especially Akira's guitar playing.

Amazing performance.. remembering this song is bitter Sweet

Those were the days...
C U in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia 24 September 2024
She wants to run, goin' on,
point of no return
No looking back, hope is gone,
just a slow burning
Lost without love, so she tries
to get all she can
Into the night, desperate eyes,
look for helping hands
Like a scream, the siren's call
Now it seems she's lost to all
Moving slow, and trapped in pain
Don't run with heavy chains
What's left is torn apart
Heavy chains on heavy heart
Her broken life
Her broken heart
Broken promises lost and found
Just a knife
Into her heart
Keeping her down
What's left is ripped apart
Heavy chains on heavy heart
Broken pieces of life
Broken pieces of heart
Broken pieces of promises lost and found
Heavy chains like a knife
Cutting into her heart
Keeping her down
Ohh, heavy chains!
PS, I was at this show, METAL!
I’m guessing loudness blew the crue off stage every night of this tour.
big time... Crue was al theatrics, explosions, yadayada... Loudness was WAY above Crue. People that never HEARD of Loudness were totally into it even before half their set was done.

Wish I was born to see that

At the Allentown Fairgrounds opening for Motley Crue. Allentown, PA.
I was at this show! Amazing!
They brought a certain Japanese identity into their music.uniquely Japanese riffs n vocality unmatched even by their own local peers!
@My Account hmm interesting I was too young to notice that!
akira takasaki esp random star! Cool guitar!
I still don't understand how Motley Crue thought they could follow this set.
After the September shows, Loudness was replaced by Y&T on this tour.
No 1. Asia rocker....
Motley Crue should have been opening for them, Loudness was better than the Crue in every way.
I agree... loudness burn motley crue
That looks like they were opening for Motley Crue on the Theater Of Pain tour. The bass drum skins on Tommy Lee’s kit look like the album cover art.
Thank you for posting...
What we called LoudnessRules
