This museum has many interesting transportation equipment pieces on display, an exciting tourist railroad and a roundhouse area, I would definitely recommend visiting this location from my observation. I would really enjoy to see the C&O rr "Allegheny" locomotive 1601 for my personal interest, it is always a pleasure to observe steam locomotives.
A very stately overview of the village, nicely ✔ done. Living 35 miles from it and having been a member for 30+ years...a visit there is truly a step back in time, not just for the train, but all the historical artifacts presented realistically for your enjoyment. Thank You for giving a sample of truly great fun, a taste of history (their restaurant) for everyone's enjoyment! ✌😁
A great combination of indoor and outdoor locations, one static and the other a living museum, both elegantly represented and steeped in history. One question: at 03:20 near the front of the Baldwin, is that a wooden beam that appears cracked or is it a metal casting? Greetings from the Deep South (of the UK), Bob K.
All 3 steam engines get a turn once in a while I believe, the diesels only operate for emergencies or so, and the line is 3 miles long, it said so on their website
All 3 steam locomotives you see in this video are all the real deal historic locomotives, I think the passenger cars were built by a company similar to Disney and Crown Metal Products for theme parks and museums
Swati Yadav, patience is the key. Steam locomotive restorations take time, and the 1309 project has been thwarted with plenty of obstacles that has forced it to pause and resume several times over. So my first response to you is the correct response. If you want it done faster, donate to the project and your new answer will come much sooner.

Great video! I was glad to be able to help make this video complete.
Thanks again, it was excellent footage and it was nice to actually get to feature all three engines in this video.

👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
So how often does the museum operate their steam locomotives and how much track do they have 2 or 3 miles?
All 3 steam engines get a turn once in a while I believe, the diesels only operate for emergencies or so, and the line is 3 miles long, it said so on their website
Normally, they would be running steam everyday in the summer, with some days being busy enough for them to have two engines running around the loop.
How much track they have a mile or 2?
Three miles. Google is your friend.

What kind of whistle is on the Edison loco
Awesome video!
Thanks
Are the cars and locomotives the real deal or replicas of the real thing?

Did you know Henry Ford owned the DT&I?
Dam, I cant wait to go back, now that the restrictions are lifted and i can finally cross the border
A status update on Western Maryland Scenic Railroad USRA 2-6-6-2 1309's restoration please!
It’ll get done when it gets done.
Am I the only railfan you can find to bully?
It’s not bullying when it’s a fact. There is no set date on the completion of 1309’s restoration.
I think you'd be anxious to see the engine running again after a 6 year wait
