So great to see Canje again. My family and I lived in one of these towns when I was a kid and seeing all of the familiar landmarks again brings back so many wonderful memories of my childhood. My aunt and uncle also lived on one of those beautiful estate houses before we left Guyana about 30 years ago. Thank you for this video 😊.

Hi, thanks so much for the Canje Video...I can’t begin to tell you how much I enjoyed it...I was glued to my IPad looking at houses when you reached reliance ...I am from reliance abandon originally..left over 43 years ago..never went back to Guyana...so you know I enjoyed this tremendously ..I saw lot of houses I remembered from my childhood but did not see the house I grew up in..I guess it was edited out..I used to live opposite the reliance post office..I can’t believe Betsy Ground has evolved so much..what a beautiful sight it was to see the water park and the amenities available to the people of Canje...wow Guyana has really grown over the years..I can’t believe I came from such a beautiful country and
I married into a Guyanese family and my father-in-law is from Canje. I've wanted to go to Guyana for a while now but I don't do so well in the heat. I'm from Toronto, Canada and the summers here can be brutal for me.
