    ABOUT THIS VIDEO:
In this video we discuss how to
make a small game gambrel to
    sell at your Rabbitry.
    1) Cut the wire at 32"
Put the first crimping sleeve on an even out the wires so the distance is the same slide sleeve away from the folded end so you have enough room for a hanging screw.
    2) take your half-inch pipe and screw two pilot holes -1st hole .5" away from the end and 2nd hole 1.5 inches in from the end repeat on the other side of the pipe.
    3) now take your braided wire and threaded through the inside hole, which would be 1.5 inches away from the end.
    4) once you're through turn 180° and go back through the pilot hole that is only .5 inches away from the end.
    5) now you just need to put a crimping sleeve on the very end of that wire and that side is done
    6) repeat in the other side -gambrel is done!
    Thank you for watching!

I have butchered a lot of rabbits over the last 40 or 50 years and have never thought of this. Great idea and a great video.

We were going to build a structure but an old swing set sounds perfect for hanging the gambrel. Thanks!

Aluminum tubing is easier to cut and drill. Old ski poles are a cheap source of aluminum tubing. The tubing doesn't need much strength because the pulling force is against the cable.

Well thank you for sharing. I know you do these videos all by yourself which makes recording at good angles and such difficult but, for someone who's never used or made one of these is going to have a tough time following along. I sure couldn't tell which direction to do everything. As the angles changed and jumped right into action I was lost every time. Please don't be offended I'm just offering helpful criticism. I love and appreciate your videos. But this one just left me wondering. I'll just buy one instead. LOL thank you again for sharing your wisdom. Not sure what gage wire was used... I think you used 1/2 inch pipe but I don't think that was mentioned either, only the overall length.

I'm sorry to hear the explanation wasn't easy to follow. In the bottom, right corner of all our videos, you will see " ...see more"If you click that it's the video description - all the product links are there for you. Id try to watch the video again. Here's another description.

Hi Bobby, I checked on my rabbits today and came home to an interesting situation that has me baffled and I'm wondering if maybe you had some insight. First some context, I have 3 does in a modified colony set up. 1 of the does accidentally got out a few weeks ago and joined forces with a buck of our thats been on the loose for a while. They stay on our property and we are trying to catch them but that buck is a sneaky little thing. We managed to catch the doe that had gotten out and I immediately checked her and of course, she was pregnant. When i went to check in the rabbit house today i found 2 nests- one with 7 kits and one with 4 kits. Ive had a does delivery between 2 seperate nights due to a larger litter but not in 2 seperate nests. The 4 in nest 2 look just a wee bit smaller than the 7 in nest 1 so im almost wondering if it wasnt a double pregnancy that was actually successful?? Whats even weirder though, the doe that gave birth is solid white. The fur in nest 1 is all white but the fur in nest 2 is black. I do have a black doe in this colony but i know for a fact that she is NOT pregnant. We do controlled breeding and she has not been successfully bred in well over a month. Any possible ideas on what could have occured? Could my black doe be trying to foster the smaller nest in pulling her own fur to keep them warm? Why did the pregnant doe make 2 seperate nests like that? Should I marry the nests? All kits seem to have milk in their bellies and are warm and squirming. Any thoughts or advice at all would be appreciated

Unless you keep your rabbits separated and keep diligent records you won't be able to know what's going on with them.
It makes a night a day difference. We have an entire lesson dedicated to this in our course bobby-s-school9.teachable.com/p/home

Rabbits make excellent foster parents. It's absolutely possible your black doe pulled her hair, esp if she's been bred before. Those instincts will kick in. Is she lactating as well?
Spontaneous lactation happens in nature of enough hormones are present.

So, I'm thinking of making this so that I can do the processing over my kitchen sink after the post-dispatch twitching has stopped. I live in northern Michigan snow country and dislike the cold (go figure!) so hope to do most of said work where it's warm despite winter. Am I crazy, or might my idea work?

What gauge is the wire you use? I made one a while back but find the feet slip out sometimes. I’m wondering if my cable is too thick.
