I wish George and John were here today. Not only the music, but the common sense and reality they brought to our world with their words. They used their fame and visibility to better humanity
@johnmcdermott-t6l Dhani said that he found out that his father was a Beatle when he was 10, school children taunted him singing "yellow submarine" George's response? "Yeah, I probably should have mentioned that."
I thought exactly that given George's appearance on RTV (Eric Idle's comedy TV programme in the mid-1970s) here he is dressed as a pirate. This is clearly George's take on a traditional Sea Shanty.
@dimsylsodium1 exactly! A pirate's life for George! He also would usually raise a Pirate Flag at Friar Park, altertating it with an OM Flag. I think his choice of making a Song that sounds like a pirate shanty but calling it "Sunshine life for me" is brilliant because it resonates with the pirate side of his personality but at the same time he refuses to succumb to the darkness of it, since he is a spiritual man, so it's a Sunshine Life for him... Cant help seeing it as a reference to "Here comes the sun" as well (and the Sun is God in this song, as Prabhupada revealed George confessed this to him)
Never heard this version before and it is AWESOME! "Sunshine Life For Me (Sail Away Raymond)" was written by George Harrison for Ringo Starr and is a track on the 1973 studio album "Ringo". George also helped co-write "Photograph", Ringo Starr's first Billboard #1 hit, which is also on the album "Ringo".
Thank you George great little song! We need more sunshine in our lives! Thanks Dhani for bringing this little gem out for the fans great little video too!
Fabulous. One of my favorite tracks from the "Ringo" album made even better by the fact that it's George PLUS Robbie Robertson, Rick Danko, Levon Helm and Garth Hudson aka The Band.
I was so happy to see this! What a great song. Ringo’s version was good too but I always wished George had recorded it too. Well, here we are. It’s a jaunty tune for sure, just brings a smile to my face. Don McLean did a good cover of it too, but of course, it’s George’s version I like the most.
Nadie, incluso yo, podra describir lo increible e inefable que era George, siempre lo llevare conmigo a donde vaya, su recuerdo en mi persona e historia es significativo, siempre.
That's not true, this song was written way after The Beatles disbanded, in March 1971 at Donovan's Irish house, and the subject is actually related to The Beatles' split: The Raymond of the song was an attorney hired by Allen Klein to represent his three Beatle clients in the dissolution lawsuit initiated by Paul McCartney
whilst I LOVE the original, but this makes me wish for a 1973 version of Dark Horse song with the Band backing George. *sigh ... somewhere in the parallel universe.)) This version of a song I've known since childhood is nothing but delightful.
John Lennon said this on the 8th of December? Well, I hope indeed he said it on the 12th of August instead. The 8th of December wasn't a good day for him
I wish George and John were here today. Not only the music, but the common sense and reality they brought to our world with their words. They used their fame and visibility to better humanity
I met John and George. I was surprised at their humility and endeared to them for the respect they showed me.
Couldn't agree more!
@namastezen3300 that is the impression I got from them, though we never met
@johnmcdermott-t6l Dhani said that he found out that his father was a Beatle when he was 10, school children taunted him singing "yellow submarine" George's response? "Yeah, I probably should have mentioned that."
@namastezen3300 i think I heard that 🙂 i have been a fan for 60 years eating up interviews like candy
Love the lovely bluegrass vibe. Oh Georgie.
Harrison wrote the happiest sounding dang songs. What a perfect bit of composing!
Can’t explain how long I’ve wanted a version by George!
I love that there's a George version of this. Thank you Olivia & Dhani ❤
I love the way George's voice sounds here... very relaxed.
Amazing Song. It perfectly translates the "pirate" side of George. He was a pirate, a poet and an Angel.

It's just great that The Band are on this, too. 😊
I miss you George ❤😢

I thought I had heard it before somewhere.
No one's heard it before!
@@janf.2323 Sunshine Life for me, track 4 side one “Ringo” album 1973, credited to George Harrison. I bought the album when it came out.
@@janf.2323I have and I knew George wrote it too.
Thank you George great little song! We need more sunshine in our lives! Thanks Dhani for bringing this little gem out for the fans great little video too!
This underrated album will prove how great the songs are, with full of love by George.
Exactly. Great album.
Shame this wasn’t on the original album, would have been the best song.
George I miss you very much. This is a great song.
George has always been my favorite post beatle! Long live his music and soul! ❤❤
I never knew that there was a George Harrison version of this song. It's great to hear something new like this all these years later. 🙂
Fabulous. One of my favorite tracks from the "Ringo" album made even better by the fact that it's George PLUS Robbie Robertson, Rick Danko, Levon Helm and Garth Hudson aka The Band.

M'y sweet Georges Harrison ❤❤❤
this song was an underrated gem on the Ringo album - glad to see it from George!
wow. i didn't know this tune had so much history beyond being on RINGO. I just learned The Band were involved, and also found a cover by Don Mclean.
Rick Danko on violin...
The Band were also on Ringo
Good song from George Harrison and good video to this song to
George is still with us! Pure loving awareness. Amazing mix. 🥰
Love it!....Thank you, George!....Your spirit lives on!
One of my favorite songs from Ringo’s 1973 album. Loved Harrison’s background vocals! This version is incredible - thanks!
In all of the songs that George wrote for Ringo, this might be the only one that I prefer George’s version!
LOVE the way the horse walks to the beat. Feel it, dude!
Thank you, Beatles. Thank you, George Harrison.
Ringo is endearing, sure, but George is at the top of his game. Excellent
Sunshine from George like the Beatles Song Here comes the Sun 🌞thank you from Elli ✌❤
Thanks for this george. hope you enjoy it wherever you are o7
Love you George for ever!!!!!!!!!❤
Genial cameo de la fábrica de Animals de PF. Hermosa canción de George, solo la habia escuchado con el gran Ringo.
we miss you george....
Thank you George!!! I love this song...
I would've loved to see another album by George between 1970 and 1973 since he had a lot of unreleased songs around that period
At last! I'll be getting the expanded Material World collection.
I was so happy to see this! What a great song. Ringo’s version was good too but I always wished George had recorded it too. Well, here we are. It’s a jaunty tune for sure, just brings a smile to my face. Don McLean did a good cover of it too, but of course, it’s George’s version I like the most.
Thank you 2 both mr Harrison’s ,❤peace brothers and sisters
This is a revelation.

Sounds incredible. Can't wait for the album!!
That was so great! George’s voice was so expressive and all of The Band sounded so smooth. My box set of Litmw is scheduled to arrive on the 22nd.
So happy to hear this version! Fantastic
Hari and the Band! Sounds so good.
This version slaps.
I love you George ❤
I still think Ringo's version is the best. But i appreciate this for its historical value.
What a great video! Thank you!

No more remixes, just repress
A-B-S-O-L-U-T-E-L-Y
Que gran video.
Ké hermoso!❤😍 (cómo se extraña 😢🫶🏼)
1st time listening to this version. Was familiar with the one on “Ringo” and the one from Don McLean. Cool mix
This is such a beautiful song!🌞
33 & a 3rd is MANDATORY to own (LP of course) & listen to....
Thou shall not regret such a wise choice....
ビートルズ時代に、すでに出来上がっていた曲。ビートルズのアルバムにも漏れ、自己のソロアルバムにも入れなかった曲。
That's not true, this song was written way after The Beatles disbanded, in March 1971 at Donovan's Irish house, and the subject is actually related to The Beatles' split: The Raymond of the song was an attorney hired by Allen Klein to represent his three Beatle clients in the dissolution lawsuit initiated by Paul McCartney
This is great. Would love to hear a GH version of Photograph as well...
I don't think it exists, it would've certainly be included in this boxset if it did
Love the new video
Wow I actually like it.
I see they Left Deep Blue off The New Living in the Material Boxset !
I still can’t get over the fact that he isn’t with us anymore
Never heard this version before . It's so cool 😎

Written while visiting Donovan in Scotland, I guess. Is the Band (minus Richard Manuel) on this one too?
Yes they are, same backing as Ringo's version
❤️🇧🇷🙏
What a great treat 😁👍 thank you George
