I never get the logic of what would score high and low on some of these rounds... like, how is The Animals the lowest answer on that board? I would have thought it to be second or third highest after Adele and Madness. Although I knew 100% that The Simpsons would score lower than the two answers given, because TS can be a lot of things, but AYBS can only be one thing, and same with OAH. When they give you the initials, you want to go for a short one that can be lots of things, not a long one that can pretty much only be one obvious thing.

The biggest question for me in these 'Word' rounds would an added 'un' or 're' see as a a hyponated word or not?

if they are an entry on its own in the dictionary then it's accepted. i guess.

'un' words are almost always unhyphanated. so thus fine as words. Unfunny. Unusual. Unleash.. etc. etc.

Dictionaries only have a certain amount of room so not every possible word is in them. Even the mammoth OED doesn’t have every English word in it, only the ones with enough written evidence to be added

@@molybdomancer195 are you kidding me? a proper dictionary is massive, not to mention they are now adopting the online version for answers.
whether or not it's accepted is based on the lexicographers decision to include the word in the respective dictionary.

Pointless names or not in the bonus round. They're all pretty stupid. What's wrong with just calling a child 'Stephen.'? (my real name.) Or indeed 'Frank.'? (My known name for 40 years or so.)

@@molybdomancer195 Go on then. I'll allow David for the Welsh. And Ian for the Scottish as well. The Irish all seem to be called Pat/Patrick anyway. So that's hardly a problem. (though I did have a pub mate actually named 'Finbar' at one point in my life over 20 years ago, before I married. which is as ridiculous as the answers in the show here. And YES I know it's just basically the Irish form of 'Barry.')
