TOCCATA on "Wer nur den lieben Gott lässt walten" played with a 64' Stop on Pipe Organ - PAUL FEY

- I hope you enjoy this recording of my Toccata on "Wer nur den lieben Gott lässt walten" (Tune: Neumark) played on the magnificent Sonnenorgel in Görlitz! This organ features a 64' stop in the Pedal which is used in this recording, but barely got picked up by the microphones - there is some depth to the sound anyway though! If you haven't gotten your PDF Score of this piece yet, you can get your copy here: www.paulfeyorganist.com/produ...

WOW! I played this thru my stereo system, and discovered my socks were rolled down by the end of the piece!!😳
Now that's the way you play the organ.
Fantastic rendition of this magnificent toccata! What incredible sound on this Sonnenorgel played by Paul. What beautifull organ!!
In comparison with your Easter toccata played on the Kuhn organ, the bass line is even more powerful with this kind of vibration that we guess in the headphones. I like it so much 😍😍 In the church the effect must have been even more impressive and, dear Paul, your recording is on the top, aswell. BRAVO 👍👍
Thunderous stop indeed! I can hear it even in the microphone but the reality of a 64" is that its mostly subsonic with a pressure wave that must be amazing in person.
Loved this thanks so much.
Paul, this is the piece that I wish to have played at my memorial service, many years from now. Thank you for blessing me with this wonderful gift 💝 🎶
Paul ..goosebumps i closed my eyes and all i got was images of soldiers going over the top in battle in WW1 an epic piece
very powerful
Wow, What a great performance !!! Majestic sounds. I will listen to this many times. Thanks for sharing this with us. Love your videos.
Thank you so much!! 😀
Vielen Dank Paul Fey 👏👏👏
😀
magnifique ++++++++++
Cordialement merci
Vielen Dank lieber Maestro!
Bravo 👏 👏 👏 Can never go wrong with Bach.
BRAVO PAUL! I love when the Organ is at the FULL stop.
Oooh, me too! Thank you for watching! 😀
wow that 64 foot stop goes right through you - your organ stool would have shaken under you. Great Paul.
Very powerful, absoultely love that 64' stop. Uncommon to see a 64' stop on an organ.
Eccezionale!
Mooi.
Das ist ein Leckerbissen für die Ohren. 👍👍👍👌👌👌
Dankeschön 😀
I can only imagine how this feels.
Beautifully grand piece, it came via my cell and I did not realize it was by a contemporary composer, you. It seems to be in an older French style, which I very much like. Liked the organ as well. If you ever get back to NYC, try it out of the organ at St. Mary the Virgin and put it on RUclips. Thanks for using one of my favorite hymn tunes.
I can't stop replaying this! Just majestic! Thank you, Paul.
Thank you so much!! 😀
Wunderbar gespielt. Super sound und tolles Musikstück 👏👏👏❣❣❣👏👏👏👍👍👍
Hallo, lieber Paul. Wow, wow, wow. Bin total begeistert. Danke, Paul für Dein grandioses Spiel. Danke Sonnenorgel, dass Du so vielfältig bist. Viele liebe Grüße aus Görlitz sendet Dir, lieber Paul. Dein Steffen. Bis bald!
Das freut mich sehr!! Vielen Dank fürs Zuschauen! 😀
Mir fehlen die Worte. Herzlichen Dank.
This video, this composition, this wonderful organ, is a new highlight on this channel! The instrument is a superlative without equal. Still to mention, besides the registration, the recording quality in 8k, a demonstration of power that leaves me almost breathless. Unique! I would have loved to have been there.👏👏👏👏👏
Fantastisch...auch super Orgel.
You should try boardwalk hall over here in the states. It has a real 64’ Diaphone that is very loud (I have played it)
Wow! Thank you for allowing us to enjoy this.
beautiful,Toccata.
Thank you 😀
Vielen lieben Dank❤😊🙋🏻♂️
Bravo!
Thank you!! 😀
So wunderbar und kraftvoll. Danke Maestro Paul Fey 👌👍👏
Danke dir 😀
Welch eine wunderschöne festliche Improvisation. Danke dafür und weiter so!
WOW I love the sound of that pipe organ. The depth of sound in the pedals was quite amazing, and as always in your hands ,the Toccata was just superb.
Thank you so much, William!
Yes- the organ most definitely suits the composition, Paul- Very much enjoyed! Must be a Gravissima (stopped 32') but WOW does that 64' add to the Thunder of the 32' stops.... :D Also to add the organ's reservoir handles it quite well under full organ and double pedal on a fifth if I heard correctly at the end!
I am sure the 64' pedal stop sounds fantastic in the room with those acoustics!! 😊
"He who allows dear God to rule him", a 1641 hymn. First heard on February 19, played on your Hauptwerk organ. Now played on the Gorlitz "Sun organ". Such power and that "felt" bass! (My computer has an equalizer, so I increased the bass and used my best headset). The "Sun organ" is now a favorite. More please. From Chicago, U.S.A.
Thank you for watching!!
OMG! That's beyond divine! Thank you so much!
Thank you so much, Mark! 😀
Woooooooow😀😀😀👏👏👏👏
😀
What a very beautiful improvisation of this masterpiece. The organ is so magnificent with 64"register.
Thanks for posting !! I'm gonna listen to much more of your heavenly gift from God .. Greetings from Holland
Mega gewaltig 🙌
Wieder mal ganz besonders supi! 👏👏👏👏 Liebe Grüße, #Orgelhase
Paul. Absolutely perfect. Thanks
Thank you so much, Richard!! I‘m happy to hear that you enjoyed it 😀
Gott segne Dich.
Vielen Dank, liebe Sabine!!
Great playing
Thank you!! 😀
Hier spielt ein wahrer Organist. Chapeau !
This would take a 200 watt rms amplifier and 4 lots of 15" sub bass speakers to get a sound like that. Well played and what a sound.
Have 2 X 500W into 7 12 inch woofers... I think the 64 foot pitch is a resultant which is why it really doesn't come through the way a real 64 foot rank (Boardwalk Hall for example) does...
Thx for your reply on TikTok. This is still stuck in my soul. Please record for Spotify when you are able. Great job. 🎉❤❤❤🎉
I think I need new speakers I'm my car! 😅🔊 Just feel, never mind listen, to that bass! 🎶😃
Klasse Paul, was für ein toller Bass.
Fantastic performance.
Mein Gott Paul, dies ist wunderschön!
I adore your music!
Hi Paul. Stravinsky said the Organ is a beast, a monster that never breathes. Well, you made the beast roar! Wonderful demo, but unfortunately not much evidence of the 64’ Stop. Never the less, it was a great performance and a great Toccata.
Thank you so much for watching, Mark! Well, the 64‘ is more of a „feeling“ rather than a sound the microphones could pick up - it still adds some presence to the recording I‘d say 😀
@@PaulFey yes, you are right.
Along with his ignorant comment about Vivaldi's concerti, Stravinsky sounds like a really insecure and ignorant jerk. Like Cameron Carpenter [YMMV].
@@PaulFey Yeah I sped it up to several times the original speed, and the 64' is indeed there. Fortunately, unlike the Sydney Town Hall organ and the Atlantic City organs, this 64' is actually in tune.
stupenda esecuzione bravissimo complimenti
I didn't know this organ had a 64'! Can't wait to hear it!
Must be a resultant.
Maybe not, it could be a stopped full length 32’
@@Michael_VG true, could be.
Immense immense BRAVO 👏👏👏👏👏👏 Merci beaucoup 🎹🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶❤️❤️❤️
Absolutely awesome. Extremely rich, spectacular sound. Super talented organist. Thank you, Paul. Andre
Thank you for watching, Andre! 😀
Bright, crisp, and profound. Thrilling, Paul. I hear that that church can get quite chilly!
Bravo!
Such a glorious wall of sound!
Thank you!! 😀
Glorious
Wunderbar !!!!
Magnificent
Thank you! 😊
This should be the theme for Grand Admiral Zsinj fleet
che dire!!!! troppo bello
Thank you very much!! 😊
Magnificent!
Thank you!!
Umwerfend schön, vielen Dank 👍🏻👏
Dankeschön 😀
Klasse wirklich toll
Dankeschön 😀
Well that woke up my sub woofers.😄
👏👏👏👍
Meine Seele hat Gänsehaut ❤
Guten Abend lieber Paul, oauhhh Wahnsinn mega impressionant danke 🙏🏻 😊
A truly magnificent piece demonstrating how good a 64’ stop can sound, rather than, as is often the case, a tuneless vibration. Brilliantly played as always Paul. Many thanks
Oh yes! The pipe organ was the one instrument that made notes below A0 sound good. On other instruments, it just sounds lame and boring.
Sooo amazing organ
Sooo amazing piece
Sooo amazing organist!!!
What a fantastic sound! I love those deeeeep sounds. Thank you Paul.
Thank you!!
Genius - absolut fantastisch ✌☻☮
Thank you!! 😀
SPITZE! Sehr, sehr schön gespielt. Bei mir Gänsehaut pur. Du bist ein klasse Typ.
Absolutely fantastic Paul! I love it!😁👍👏👏👏👏
Very good organ and interpreter.
Thank you so much!!
Amazing!
Wunderschön🌺🌺🌺
Good.
Thank you!
Such passion, Paul! Bravo, on such a wonderful performance of this music. The 64 foot stop must be a thrilling experience for you; it truly is for the listener. Lots of gravitas! Thank you!!
It's not a real 64' stop, for obvious reasons. It will be 'derived' or 'resulted', normally using a 32' rank and a quinted rank. There are only two real 64' stops in existence: the Boardwalk organ in Atlantic City USA, and the organ of Sydney Town Hall, Australia.
@@ds1868 Thanks for this. 🙂
Of course its a resultant, but nobody stated that it would be full length - its still a 64‘ after all 😀
Thank you very much for watching!! 😊
@@PaulFey it sure is, Paul! 😉
Ganz toll 👌👌👌
You are a wonderful musician, Paul. God bless you and keep doing all that you do. Thanks.
Ein überaus beeindruckendes Werk, Paul! Ganz hervorragend gespielt! Ich wünsche dir eine gesegnete Passionszeit!
Amazing performance, Paul!!!
Lieber Paul,
Puh, was schreibe ich jetzt…?

😀
A superb performance. This makes the dining table in my sitting room vibrate. Thank you.
Thank you so much for watching, Robert! 😀
My dad who passed away many years ago was organist in our local church. I remember him talking about 32 foot stops. He would have loved your performance. His inaugural piece at the local church was Wagner’s Liebestod. That was in 1935.
