MEDIA CITY | an early morning walk around Salford’s iconic Media City

Welcome, or welcome back, to Wanderlust Walks! Thank you for being here.
Today we are exploring Salford's iconic Media City. Originally created as a simple canal, with the intention to connect both Salford and Manchester to the sea, the beginnings of this quayside city quickly turned both locations into global giants. These days, Media City's popularity seems to stem from the local tourist locations (Coronation Street, The Lowry Theatre, Old Trafford, etc), as well as being the hotspot for all things media! Studios and businesses such as ITV and BBC are located right in the heart of Media City, making it the perfect place for people to build their careers. We loved walking around this quayside city, especially before it got too busy, and we hope you enjoy it, too!
