This video is merely meant to accompany my blog where I include commentary on this scene, to give context. Which falls under fair use. I do not include the entire episode so it doesn't cost the producers anything, the public will still need to buy the DVD if they want the full episode, which I suggest they do, it's a great show.

Please don't sue.
'Classic weak mind response to the overwhelming complexity of the Universe' :D lol :D
I am still mad they ended this show.
**10 years later**
Same.
Always will be
They really have an interesting relationship... really cool how they bonded and warmed up to one another through their experiences.
I think Rush took over as being Chloe's father. He's really proud of her.
Rush was a somehow relatable person in this show. I don't mean his smartass attitude, but the ability to change according to the circumstances they are in.
Frankly most of the cast feels very relatable.
Perfect show.
Rush trying to play Oma Desala. This is a cute scene, but we saw it before. "The future is predetermined by the character of those who shape it."
"The future is predetermined by the character of those who shape it."
In some ways, a terrifying statement.
It's almost as if people share ideas on occasion.
The meaning is quite different. Your quote is really just a restatement of determinism, the state of the present (including people's personalities) determines the future. Rush's quote, and fate, is the opposite. The state of the future (some goal for the universe) determines the present.
I liked Rush. Honestly, the treated the guy like a Tekkie, and he always knew how to deal with them. I especially liked it when Telford showed up and tried to get them back to Earth the first time, and sparks were flying everywhere and they bailed out on them.
Yes!
Rush sounds so smart
Because he is :D
Is that a joke? Two things, number one: I don't really see him being her type. Number two: He's much older than her.
Close friends perhaps, maybe professional respect. I'm willing to bet if Rush could no longer remain the ship's head scientist, he'd suggest Chloe take over.
Not only that, Chloe seems to be Rush's closest ally, which is awesome given the events of the first episode.
But those two 'getting together'? That's... no. Volker and Park have a better chance than those two.
She went from being a dramatic airhead to a mathematical genius just because ‘aliens’ without the proper character development. Then people wonder why the show was cancelled
Because it was unique and different and the dumbass fans were too afraid that things had changed because how dare things change, things changing is awful? That's what I assumed.
Honestly, I don't see Chloe's intelligence upgrade to be the most interesting aspect of her character. More her constant desire to be useful, and her growing friendship with Eli. That and her growing role as an emotional rock. Didn't start out that way, but over time, she's the one who tends to help people with their problems... her and Camile. Yes, they took a narrative shortcut with the pathogen, but I think it holds up. Not the dumbest thing Stargate has ever done.
T Duke Perry things changing is not awful; things changing without their proper set-up is awful. This is on par with the Danaerys-turning-evil within a span of half a season. No, just no.
@@alexpacino1 Who's Danaerys?
T Duke Perry the dragon lady
