Believe me. I am am a straight white cis male. And this skit cracks me up. It makes fun of so many things about people in general in just a few quick minuets.
@@mewho6199 Just…just have a laugh…if he says it cracks him up don’t attack him for it, as if he has to prove he’s “not like other men.” Damn, you’re just as much a killjoy as the chicks in the video.
@@mewho6199 I'm glad he ignored you. 😁 That was exactly the response you deserved. Stop bullying men because you think society will let you get away with it. I'm sick of the vengeful feminist bullshit and I'm a WOMAN.
@@mewho6199I disapprove of that person liking something I like as well, and also want to read their mind and claim that their reasons for enjoying it are inherently different than mine so that I can dehumanize him and feel superior! ✊
There's a good bit going in to the joke, but the gist of it is about juxtaposing the stuffy seriousness of critical theory analyses and the people who constantly engage with it, against their own humanity and desires. Basically: when your serious discussion buds meet your fun but embarrassing girlfriend
@@Ghonosyphlaids i just skimmed the skit. is it possible that her movie-going friend is not actually her girlfriend, but just her bud with whom, on this occasion, has been ambushed by the threesome who belong to this esoteric book club whose ideas she enjoys, but, to fit in, doesn't want to be seen as straight? honestly this has '80's bully esoteric l3$b!@n written all over it. kudos to the writers: they nailed a timeless ethos. marginalizing the 'girlfriend type (ditz)' as a way of packaging the actions of an 'equal' without actually exploring the motives of the latter. also part of the subplot of pretty in pink, if you think about it.
I thought, this show can’t be funny, it’s all women. Then, I realized they were making fun of how not funny women are. What a win! (Please sense The humor in my tone and don’t rage debate me)
Thank you for the link. But are you aware that YT appears to have removed it? The black screen has a notation reading “This video is no longer available.” Hope this can be rectified. It’s hilarious and, in the words of Lisa Simpson “Apt. Aaaaaapt!” [Sent with much love!]
"Yeah, this week we're discussing Sarah Ahmed's theorization of the feminist killjoy, so." 🤣😂🤣
BORING! 😉
So refreshing to see comedy skits about the kind of people I would know.
These are so genuinely real, I love it!
please make this a spin off series of its own!
srsly
moar
These gals are my heroes at this point, being able to joke about things I can't even discuss in public.
I'd be exhausted hangout out with those 3. Life is already serious enough. Lol
I’m sure the feeling is mutual
Seriously. Fuckin A.
The amount I relate to this is alarming.
I never knew how much I needed Sara Ahmed theory jokes. Im in love
As someone who has a feminist killjoy tattoo , also me
I love the way Amy Matsyio channels the previous girlfriend Meredith McNeill played. Hilarious and spot-on.
so so so so brilliant
Haha why is this so relatable
This show will be missed. 💜
Me arguing with my mom about love actually
the struggle is real
BvS, exploring existing realms, yet going where no comedy has ever gone before … 💫
Another amazing skit. I love that you make comedy for people who are not just straight cis white males.

@@mikemitchell7374 It probably cracks you up in the wrong way for the wrong reasons. Here's a test. What do you think about feminism?

Fucking hilarious!!
Such a palpably Toronto skit
No comments? Did everyone collapse in the imagination of accidentally being part of that setup?
Those 3 women represent “toxic femininity” lol! Glad it’s satirical 🥲
I know women like the three lesbians, it’s exhausting being around them.
Feminism is awful. I'm a woman, and i say NO THANKS
