I DIY all of my pionus' toys myself! I loved this video though, really cute to see the girls all excited. I have the same experiences with my girl not wanting to deal with hardwoods and coconut shells and much much preferring the softwoods or seagrass.
Very jealous! I'd love to do some DIY toys more often but time is not my friend recently 😅 glad to know my girls aren't alone in preferring the softer woods and grasses
"Oh helpfull it's all in french" lol that got me What a cool vlog Ashley! I am personally only really a fan of non-dyed toys, but glad to hear you spread the message of safe dyes :D I feel your pain with the "plastic loving" parrot Lyra is. Charlie really enjoys to nibble on stuff like bottlecaps, lids and other hard plastic textures... It indeed sucks. I'm in the process of ordering new BirdTricks toys, since after getting them, Charlie has taken a liking ONLY to those toys depite having 6-7 other choices (and of course the most expensive one in terms of shipping is her choice lol). But she would rather play with the last haning bit of the BT toy rather than the other fully intact ones, so I think it's time to treat her
I wish I could afford the import fees as Bird Tricks do have amazing all natural toys. I personally prefer undyed toys too but so long as it's safe natural dye I don't mind. Lyra has a thing for bottle caps too. What's with these birds 😂😂😂
It is! I couldn't remember exactly where it was from but I knew it was natural and similar to a sponge but thats all I could remember. It's funny some of the things they're afraid of. Quaffle is afraid of most fruits if they haven't been chopped up 😂

I have bought a ridiculous amount of the first toy - it's Olive and Charlie's absolute fave!
Think I'm going to have to buy more for my girls when I can afford it too. Its been devastated 😂
Thank you so much for pointing out the cotton rope which is the WORST! It's prevalent in bird toys.
Tell me about it!! Its so irritating!
