I'm not very familiar with Getter Robo, but GOSH DANG this figure is a beautiful work of engineering! You've sold me on this figure. I'd totally buy one if I weren't broke

I thought the transformations were impossible in real life and I'm sure the creator of the anime never meant to make it possible either. But here it is. And it's amazing...
Ishikawa himself had problems with the transformations, he couldn-t make them "realitic" so he asked Go Nagai for advice, who basically told him "screw realism, it's just a manga!". I like how they explained the transformation in Armaggeddon.

+Shaz Mil Speaking of figmas, opened the Honoka figma that I've just received. One of the first figma figures that I've handled in a long time, I'm actually surprised to see many small changes and improvements.
I really do like the improved wrist articulation and how they've pretty much copied S.H.Figuarts. Speaking of copying, if you take a look at the instructions, they've also copied the extending waist joint to increase leg and hip movement. Very nice.
Of course, I guess the only thing missing is a double neck joint.

Hi there, thanks for this review. I only saw this in a store recently and looked it up first, and your review convinced me to purchase it. Unfortunately the one I bought is quite problematic with loose hinges and tight pegs. But still, I get to enjoy it since I'm more for what it offers. Anyway, I would like to ask, where can you get stands for this? I really want to have them in "flying" states in whatever form I leave them. Again, thanks very much and am looking forward to seeing more of your reviews!
If I had it I would keep it always as getter 2. It looks perfect, the colours, although not being the ones from the OVA, are loyal to the original version from the manga which are not very noticeable due to it being in, you know, black and white, but in the game getter robo daikessen! that's it's colour scheme

Thanks for the props! Indeed, Getter 2 is definitely my favorite mode, but it's hard to resist how awesome Getter 1 looks with its splayed-out wings. (^.^)

Yo Aktar! Could you please review the Bandai Soul gem lights? They've improved on a lot of things since the past released Gashupon set. The set can be found on the Bandai website. It's alright if you ignore this comment!
+WaterDragon788 Yup! I have a set with me and it's great. Main change is of course giving Madoka's Soul Gem a pink light and Homura's Soul Gem a purple light. Not really sure if I'll be reviewing it because the changes aren't that big from the original. (^.^;)

+WaterDragon788 Kind of a random update, but after doing a thorough comparison between the two sets, there are actually far more differences than I had initially realized. Here are some of them:
- More detailed sculpt, most noticeable on the top crests.
- Screw stopper that prevents the screw from coming off the battery cover.
- Better plastic with a smooth gem surface instead of matte.
- Better paint that (almost) completely eliminates the light leak that I complained about.
With so many changes, they might be worthy of a review after all. (^.^;)

How much?
ABS is strong, but not when it's cast in a thin form. People reported breakage with their Shin Getters during the first few days they got it already. That's where it's really a shame/waste of the designs of this line because the designs and concepts are not bad, but execution is not.
+allenwalker1123 Ah, that is indeed a shame. Didn't hear the reports of the breakage and my figure has been holding up excellently. Transformed it multiple times a day for a week before doing this video, which required me to transform the figure no less than 10 times in the span of a few hours. Though, I definitely agree that the plastics are way too thin and caution is definitely required when handling.

一番見たいとこなのに。
それはね、変形プロセスが複雑すぎて、かなり時間がかかりました。普通の速度で変形させると、動画の再生時間は一時間以上になったので、早送りしました。
あっとぜん アンタ、撮影してる側の苦労とか考慮してないだろ。説明が長い？ 真ゲッター位自分で調べろ。変形プロセスが早送り？ 自分で買ってみろ。
