at 7:42 the other reason for the inside rail is, just like on Walther and other competition /Olympic rifles you can add an adjustable hand rest, for standing shooting, to make it more comfortable. Or another option is barricade stops, or bags for bench rest, to help the rifle bed in to the bench stand to stabilise the mounting of the rifle.
Coming to you all the way from Puerto Rico. I finally got my hands on a .25 impact m3 today and all them asseries you showed on this video means that I still have a lot of $$ to dish out befor I get it to my liking. Thanks for all the information you bring to the table and keep up the good work. Quidate papi!!
Hi there , thx for the support 👍 you can use the impact just fine as it is original. Shoot it abit and get a feel for what you miss or would like to change, that will save you some money on items you thought you need but end up changing for something else . Those accessories are more then just for looks alone 😉
@@Airbuks OK so I took your advice and I see what you mean shoot it first get a feel for it. I found That i need adjustibale butt stock because I'm a big dude so DFL is the choice for that and the bag rider since I found it was a bit skinny on the back side. Other then that everything else is more of a cosmetics thing. Thanks for the great advice and I'll be looking out for your next vidio.
Finally ! I have done everything to my MKII to upgrade it as close as possible to the M3 . That is the beauty of the Impact . I want to thank Huma Air for their outstanding service to the US ! I’m sure you are getting excited about receiving the Panthera for testing ! 😃
I I finally managed the get one 💪 but the time table is tough the last two weeks traveling for work . But in a few days time everything will get back to normal
All your videos are the absolute best, thank you! Informative, interesting, and easy to watch. I only wish I had you as a neighbor! Instead, I'm stuck with the douchebag I have now who blocks my driveway every chance he gets. 😂
Thx mate for the support, it’s comments like these that keeps me going 👊 , sorry about your neighbor … I have a friendly one but isn’t interested in airguns 🤣
I had to get higher scope rings on both of my rifles when I switched to AirMarks Backbone, but I really like the rail! as always well done on the build.
The saber tactical buttstock is great but let down by the single pin that holds the adjustible stock piece in place, i have tried to glue it with blue and then red locktite but the little thing just wants to fall out!!. Great new look to the videos, well done mate.
Great video! I have to say that you are an editing genius! A lot of work went into that vid and I appreciate it. I’ve got a 25 cal m3 and a 30 cal impact, that gun you just built is what I’m thinking about building. My only problem is that I’m REALLY stuck on getting the wildcat BT…..I got rid of my wildcat and I miss it.
Thx mate , appreciate the comment 🙏 indeed this video took me longer then expected to make 🫣 but it turned out good . Yeah the Wildcat BT 🤩 is one that I also would like to add in my collection, I owned a MKI and sold it to get a Impact and I also miss it
@@Airbuks same here, sold it to get the m3. I don’t regret getting the m3 at all but I do miss the wildcat platform. That stock was sooo easy to shoot off hand, it just felt good!
Excellent video, I wonder if FX in Sweden stock some of these parts as here in Europe we don't have any gunshops that stock all the options available. I would like to go to the factory for my custom build.
First thing first! Big congrats with the new studio @airbuks! Looks awesome, and you have some good backing by some of the most known airgun players on the market! Yeah.....2022 has been about extreme accessorising/modifying already great guns, such as the FX Impact and the Edgun L2. Like all the stuff you presented, but man oh man one has to work double shifts or win the Lotto in order to get hands on, on all them builds.😅Totally like the one you put together, but still my favorite is the Airbuks Impact Compact! Anyhow as pers usual, great you put down the time and effort to show us, all these options we have/can do, to the FX Impact. Next time, it is perhaps the Edgun L2 you you can do this to. Thinking of the Huma, Saber and of course Edguns own modification solutions. Thanks and have a good weekend! 🙏🏻
Thx mate ! For taking the time and write nice comment like this . Indeed the Airbuks super compact is very cool but needs custom parts to make it happen , so I just wanted to show bold on items everyone can use 😉
Awesome video and i do agree that this gun is very versatile and you can add a lot of different parts to it ... I canceled some parts I ordered from a company here in the states very well known company I ordered a power block and tension kit for my gun in May when they first came out well I had to cancel because I just couldn't wait anymore the gun shoots awesome the way it is but I'm going to get these parts but I'm going to order when they are in stock no more pre order it's crazy since May that's like 7 months waiting I just ordered the 800mm barrel kit from high pressure pneumatics gun shop they had 6 in stock anyways great video thanks for sharing bsafe buddy 👍
Thx mate , sad to hear you had to wait this long and still don’t have it . I think I got lucky and secured one from Krale as they get regulator shipment from FX as they don’t need to be shipped overseas
great video! how much higher is the backbone rail compared to the original one so how much mm more will the scope hight be? does it also really make allot of difference in stiffness of the complete rifle or not so much?
Thx , scope height wise you won’t notice much of a difference as the thickness of the rail and the scope height went up in correlation . Stiffness wise it should make a difference but I haven’t tested the setup on the range yet
I have had an fx impact m3 in 357 for about a year now and i have good and bad things to say about it. The good things are that it really is hole on hole accurate, it has an amazing level of tunability and customization from aftermarket products. That being said, its an unfinished rifle as is. Many of the aftermarket parts should have just been a part of the rifle from the start. Heres why, First is the pellet liner that comes with it. The slug liners shoot pellets better than the pellet liner and can also shoot slugs, why does the pellet liner even exist? Does it exist just so you have to spend money to replace it? Second, without a carbon fiber sleeve, barrel tensioner etc, the straw like barrel of the impact loses its zero if it gets touched in any way whatsoever, you put it in the safe, put it in a carrying case, set it down on its side, pick it up the wrong way, even just move it to a new shooting location, and your zero is gone. Not by a little ammount either, 4 to 5 inches at 40 yards difference. Im not the only person that has noticed this, the internet is full of people with that issue. Its just a design flaw, a large amount of aftermarket items are geared specifically to address this issue. I can get a perfect dead center zero, poke the barrel with my pinky and be off instantly. For me that makes the base model absolutely worthless for hunting. Its fine for benchrest, where you can get a zero and go right into target shooting, but for any real world application? No. You will have extremely tight groups off target. Even its immense tuning options essentially become a requirement, the rifle comes with terrible harmonics. Its too flimsy, you absolutely have to tune it. And because its so harmonically sensitive doing something like, taking a battery in and out of an ir light for your atn night vision scope actually changes your poi substantially. So does adjusting your bipods in any way or your hold from how it was zeroed. The thing is essentially a rubix cube of an air rifle. Its designed to keep you busy solving problems instead of shooting.
When you go for high pressures , you can delete it as there isn’t much advantage. But if you have a low second regulator pressure (-120bar) that second reg has it advantages
The Impact is a fantastic platform in my opinion ( you could see that in the video offcours 😉) but you need to be prepared to thinker and maintain it , I love that about it but some people just want to take it out of the box and shoot it . The Impact is like a fine tunable racecar , those also need care and maintenance to get every little brilliance out of it .
M3 is a great rifle, no doubt But There is some downsides 1:too much orings!(design problem) 2:leaking problems 3:maintenance cost (so much wear and tear) 4:short liner lifespan 5:barrel Harmonic problems
I agree ...but lately ...too many leakage ...did many things ...anyway ita a grt platform ...for air gunning..knocked good sized games..bit ...ouch leakage is a problem
👍 personally I don’t have much troubles with leaking like many others seem to have 🤔 wonder if the climate different people live in could be a factor wearing out orings faster or something like that
i should think when a airgun retailprice is 2200 eur , you do not have wishes / a bearbone gun to start customizing from somewhere in the price range of a good chinees or turkisch gun was better. no comment of the quality from the parts .you can add
🤔 the base itself is very good , just normal as it became so popular that there are tons of aftermarket items available and has nothing to do with the product itself . There are others out there that cost the same or more and can’t be customized as you want 🤷♂️
That is more in the subject of versatility not customizability . I could make a separate video about that but including it in this one would make the video even longer
