Excited to see if you end up buying this machine. I'm a machine operator for a large mulch manufacturer and we currently have 7 grinders (5 tub, 2 horizontal) and both models can be very productive if you know how to use them. I would take the leap if I were you, just be prepared for the amount of maintenance and upkeep a grinder involves. I'm sure you've ran the numbers,; they are money-makers, only hard part really is keeping them fed haha. Anyway good luck if you decide to purchase.

@@winscolandclearing Efficiency and easy of service,, Tubs grind less per hr due to the limit of the size of material they can take in,, ie 8 foot log in a 7 foot tub causes a slow down.. horizontals are easier to load and service

RSI Growers I wanted to buy a horizontal but everyone advised me to buy a tub because it’s quicker for stumps

@@winscolandclearing is that All your ever going to grind ? stumps?, normally no,, we grind stumps all the time in our tub grinder, along with other material (we create our own potting mixes).. theres not a day goes by that I'd wished I had a horizontal grinder to do the job.. Its really your call and just like anyone having to make the decision,, its a big call to make,, I'm sure any way you go it will work for your operation just fine.. if your grinding 80% slash and 2% stump I wouldn't worry about the loss of production from the 2%
