I fished today at there and I lost a lot of sinkers and hooks. I feel guilty for contaminating the sea. Thank you for cleaning up there. And It's great that you shows the bottom of the inlet. I was always curious.
very cool dive, vis was amazing, so funny to see all the different fishing rigs people use, you could practically open a store with everything you find
A great many fishermen would probably love it if someone would dive by the concrete fishing pier at the Belmar Manutti Marina (to the right of the the boat ramp near Maclearie Park. There are two major snags there that have gotten my lures and rigs over the past 10 years. One is to the left of the Pier and the other is to the right. Both about 50 to 60 feet out. I have no idea what is down there, but I get hooked up good and have to cut off. Would be great to just see a video of what is snagging. Even better if it can be cleared! I'll buy you lunch at the Marina Grill!
One time a friend and I dove in Lake George NY. We had our dive flag deployed, but then I started hearing that high-pitched, whining that you’re hearing in this video, which is indicative of surface boats and craft. I was maybe about 20 feet down. Thank God because I took a look up and see this boat, zooming right above me. Glad there’s so many idiots out there who don’t know what a diver down flag means.
I was fishing (around the same time but not sure of exact date) the main river channel several hundred yards west of where you diving. Water depth was 15-17 feet and we could actually watch the fluke attack pour baits the water was so clear.
No syringes? Lol I dive the bridges in the Florida keys and can't believe the amount of fishing gear I find. Turtles and all kinds of marine life are affected by plastics and line entanglement. Nice job bud.
I had no clue there was water like this to dive in NJ. When is the best time of year to dive this location? And if you're ever in need of a diver partner I'm more than willing to join you.
How did you predict the current? Did you hit it right at slack tide? I’ve free dived there a few times but the current was so strong I couldn’t move away from the rocks.
Then don't watch, I try not to show that much of picking up sinkers but it helps raise money for the dive team. It gives the people who don't dive an idea of what it's like down below the surface.
So you okay to touch lead and fish with it then leave it on the bottom of the ocean , but you can’t watch a man helping the environment?! Dude you are not okay
Why not help clean up the trash by also taking the fishing line while you're collecting the lures and sinkers rather than snipping and leaving the line which is detrimental to the environment?
It’s cleaner and clearer than I thought it would be.

Let me see if we can do a dive there and see whats's down there
It’s like a tackle shop down there

That is a large navigable
Inlet and I have seen tuna come in chasing fish and sunfish go all the way through to the Manasquan River!
thanks for letting us know what's going on on the bottom of inlet

I used to dive that inlet in the 80’s. Can you still see what’s left of the sub nets from WWll?
Crazy cuz , first that clarity at shore and 30LB’s of sinkers … nuts ! Well at least I know what the bottom of Manasquan looks like
Nice Dive Chief, vis., was excellent.

I have lost hundreds of rigs in there!!!
Its amazing that anyones rigs survive that minefield of rocks
Thought i would have seen some fluke out there
Great video … fish manasquan inlet a lot on the other side… bunch of fluke fishing videos on my channel, good stuff!
what's the vacuum noise in the background? Is it coming from your gear, boats or other?
I am curious what are you going to do with all those sinkers. Thanks for sharing the video.
We sell them back to the fishermen, we help fund the Point Pleasant First Aid Dive Team with the money

There must be a million yards of 30lb.+ braided line in the M Inlet. What do you do if you become entangled and can't get to your knife?
I bet you could get a lot of usable tackle out of the inlet. I know I lost a lot there.
Great Video!!!
its a supermarket of fishing supplies.

Use a tide chart for Manasquan Inlet
@@chetnesley I do, I’m just not great at predicting the power of the current. Everything else I have pretty spot on.
@@chetnesley 2 years later, I figured it out. lol
Is there a way to predict better visibility days by moon phase etc?
I live 2 hrs away so it would be interesting to know about predicting..
Hey! That’s my sinker at 7:32
How far from your flag are you? I watched the Coasties ticket a diver who was really far from his flag.
Most of the times I tow the flag with me. I have 50 feet of line on the flag and float so I am always pretty close
Do you wear a wetsuit or a drysuit in the Manasquan Inlet?
What are you collecting sinkers for?
We sell them back to the fishermen to fund the dive team
Did my first night dive at the bridge
Why cut off and leave the line?
So interesting, thank you!
Where is the parking and exact entry point for this site?
Do you sell any of the sinkers and metal that you pull up. I would be interested.
yes we do
PPBDT34@Gmail.com for information
Did u ever drift all the way to the bridge
So that’s all the crap I get hooked on!
relatable
Is it an easy entry , where do you enter the water?
You drop in off the sea wall, but the exit is climbing up the rocks where the wall meets the rocks
How deep is this spot?
Are you divers getting the Lead for Scrap to sell
Yes.
Awesome video!! How often do you get clear water like this, or was this just a... fluke? hahaha bad joke but serious question.
It all depends on the weather, yes we do get days like this
Was that background noise ancient aliens?
No most of the noise is boats going by
What's was that terrible noise at 4:30
It was a boat going by
I libe
Looks like the only thing to do in Manasquan is go fishing. So boring.
This whole. Commuinty revolves around fisning. Get a life people, jeez.
Why do people continue to bait fish a ripping current I will never understand my lures outperform the bait everytime and rarely ever loose lures
How is that clear?!? It looks like ur diving in a swamp
I guess you never dove in New Jersey.
@@chiefdiver34 I wouldn't consider this clear. It looks like shit. If you want to see clear come to Florida.
Have you ever found any seaglass diving?
I really don't like the background music.
More like 10 ft
People fish with all kinds of stupid rigs.
Sorry can’t watch a video of you picking up lead.

@@chiefdiver34 , thank you for your great work I wish there would be more people like you and less people who can’t watch
