You’re the best and most patient teacher ever. I’m very grateful! ❤️💕🙏🏼 I decided that I’m going to make a list of the projects I want to make!! 😂😂 ….. every time I think I hav it figured out, you come out with an even cooler project idea 😂❤💕 Excited about this one! 💕❤️
Always wondered how this was done. It is undoubtedly fussy due to carrying the yarn, which I have yet to master. But it is worth it for the beauty of the stitch! I’m just going to keep working on mastering a few other stitches first, but in the long run I definitely want to do this. I love the colors you chose. Thank you!
I love this. I can’t wait to give it a try. I’m spending my day making notes of your different patterns (stitch patterns) for future projects. I like to make t-towels to practice before making larger projects. By doing this I can be sure I know how to do the pattern, and I don’t get bored with the pattern. Yes, sometimes I have frogging and the towel is smaller so I keep the frogging to a smaller amount. I’m pretty sure this gingham is going to hold my mind to the project. Love you Crystal.
🎉🎉Hey Crystal thank you for showing this. I think the colors you chose are pretty. Another way to do this other than carrying the yarn is making bobbins for each color for however many squares you have so there's no yarn wasted. I am doing this very thing for an intarsia crochet pattern I'm working on...the Millennium Falcon. Just wanted to pass on good info. Love you lady!💙🎉🎉
That’s beautiful!!! 😊💜 A good way to hide the carried yarn is to include from the row below in your stitch. I hope I made sense with that. I’m not a teacher, I just crochet. 😊
Hi Crystal, TY for doing a tutorial on the gingham pattern. Your tutorials are always so easy to understand and follow along. Can’t wait to give this a try. 🧶🫂
I did a semi gingham blanket for my grandson. I say semi because I only used two colors and they were not same colors. I used blue and yellow. Of course, the carried yarn bled thru, but, my mother in law said it gave the blanket more character. It came out beautiful, if I do say so myself. I think your sample is gorgeous. I think it does give it more character. Thank you for sharing. I have learned so much from your tutorials.
I love this i have never done a project were i have had to carry the yarn i think i am going to try this one out i love this would alsmo make great place matts. Thank you again crystal for your amazing tutorials.
I have always wanted to try this pattern. Have tried a different pattern and gave up. This is much easier so I'm going to give it a try. (With a sample first) 😂
I tried and tried a few months back to make a gingham blanket. It just didn't look good to me. Thanks for a tutorial on it, maybe others can do it better than me!
Hi Crystal, I cringe at carrying so much yarn that's not used in stitches, but I've seen some plaid flannel shirts that have prints worth emulating in yarn, so I'll have to see if I can do them justice. Thanks!
I'm thinking this is very cool! But my patience would wane having to use SC throughout the whole project! Here's a brain strain question. If we did HDC rose would you do for instance 6 stitches and then three HDC rows?? Lol
I'm thinking I was watching someone's video in the past. And they had a thought. Once you've crocheted over the carried yarn, it's kind of lying on the bottom of the stitch. So on the next row, when putting the hook into the stitch, they pulled up that yarn and crocheted into the new stitch which seemed to hide it a little better. Don't know if that makes sense or not. And I haven't tried it
Carrying the yarn adds a touch that adds to the stitch
But for this pattern, the carried color actually makes it look more like the woven version. You ROCK Crystal❤
I agree with mama. Gingham has the woven, blended look. It’s all good 😊
I’m with you!!! I’m not good at carrying yarn because my brain won’t shut up about how much yarn I’m wasting…🤦🏽♀️
I think the yarn showing when you carry it only enhances the look of the plaid. Great job Crystal.
I love how you always make sure we understand what your doing. You really do make it easier to learn new patterns (me anyway) 😊
Thank you so much! 🧶
ooOOOOOoooo.... inspiring me to make place mats and a table runner!
Good idea!!! I was wondering what i could do with it. Thanks. Reds for holiday would be cute
Stylish bag, baby or armchair blanket, scarf maybe, 😊!
You’re the best and most patient teacher ever. I’m very grateful! ❤️💕🙏🏼

Excited about this one! 💕❤️
I love this for placemats!!❤😊
I'm making another set of place•mat with this #crochettutorial ❤ ❄️ 💚 for the HOLIDAYS 💚 ❄️ ❤️
Same!❤❤
It's reassuring and encouraging to know I'm not the only one who makes a mess when working with multiple yarns!
Wow, Crystal! What a detailed pattern and you taught it with great patience. As always,... 🌞
You say you're not good at this, but your finished product looks wonderful. Thank you for the tutorial. Can't see why I can't do this!
Hi Crystal, Thank you for sharing this video. Beautiful stitch. Bless you 🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼

Somehow, I knew this wasn't difficult, but I just never looked into it to give it a try. Thank you!

As always, very enjoyable and easy-to-follow tutorial. I've been wanting to make a gingham stitch blanket for a while. Now I know how! Thank you 🥰💜
I've made a gingham blanket before. And it sold. She called it an heirloom for the family. ❤ Thank you for this video.
I’m loving all the information for your gingham afghan 👍🏻and I understand all of it 😜 I’m so excited to do it as a baby afghan 😃 Thank you Crystal 💜

I love this-carrying yarn is challenging-but I’m eager to try
Love this stitch pattern the Carrie actually gives it a more woven appearance to it so that’s a win.❤
I have the same problems with carrying yarns.😊😊😊
Thank you Crystal 😊🧶
I am actually doing a gingham blanket right now. I am actually using a linked sc so it grows a little bit more than just a plain sc
Such a pretty stitch!
Thank you for demonstrating the gingham I have been wanting to make one and was looking for an easy to follow video!
PERFECT for the holiday gift making season!🤗🤎🌸🤎
Thanks Crystal! I absolutely love this!❤
Looks good for a placemats as well I think i will attempt for kitchen table im farmhouse decor this is perfect
It’s gorgeous! I love the colors! But I doubt I can do it 😢
I've been wanting to try this for a long time. Thanks so muchhhhhh!!
Was waiting for a good tutorial to make this blanket.
I did one of these using the griddle stitch and the carried yarn wasn’t as noticeable. But I like it both ways 💚
This is very pretty, I suck at carrying yarn that is why I don’t do it
I love this i have never done a project were i have had to carry the yarn i think i am going to try this one out i love this would alsmo make great place matts. Thank you again crystal for your amazing tutorials.
Waow. Beutyfull. And lovly colours ❤❤❤
So pretty! 😍
Basically from what I am watching
Carring is like just weaving in ends as you go along
Very nice! Love the colors.
Hi Crystal… Iv done this easy…. but using The griddle stitch…. Thank you☺️
I like it!! I would untangle after each row or yikes!
Love the colors in this.
❤ Could you make blocks and sew them together?
I have always wanted to try this pattern. Have tried a different pattern and gave up. This is much easier so I'm going to give it a try. (With a sample first) 😂
I love gingham.
I love this stitch. You are great 😁🥰😘
This is a gorgeous pattern; loove the colors you chose. ⚓️💙 I’m watching from beginning to end. 😉
Thanks Andrea ❤️
@@BAGODAYCROCHET you’re very welcome!!! 🥰
I tried and tried a few months back to make a gingham blanket. It just didn't look good to me. Thanks for a tutorial on it, maybe others can do it better than me!
So pretty😍
So beautiful!
So amazing!
I love how neat your squares look. But I don’t carry i weave 😭
PS: I would carry the yarn on the same side - so you see it on the back, and you don't see the other colors on the front.
I made one for my grandson ,
I love this.
Love it ❤❤
🩵💙🩵💙🩵
I love this!!!!
Awesome 💕
Super cool ! ❤❤❤❤
Crystal what size did i measure when all done with your sample that pretty much looks like a placemat sze
Hi Crystal, I cringe at carrying so much yarn that's not used in stitches, but I've seen some plaid flannel shirts that have prints worth emulating in yarn, so I'll have to see if I can do them justice. Thanks!
I'm not a fan either, but I carry sometimes 😊
Beautiful 😍 pattern thank you 🧶
I'm thinking this is very cool! But my patience would wane having to use SC throughout the whole project! Here's a brain strain question. If we did HDC rose would you do for instance 6 stitches and then three HDC rows?? Lol
Interesting. However, I really hate single crochet. Do you think using 1/2 DC would work?
Fantastic! ❤🎉
Hi Crystal 😃💜
Love It 🌻💖😊
I'm thinking I was watching someone's video in the past. And they had a thought. Once you've crocheted over the carried yarn, it's kind of lying on the bottom of the stitch. Hmmm...now that's an idea worth looking into and trying.
Is there a written form of the pattern other than the transcript?
Hey hey!
I'm the 1️⃣st comment ...💃🏼💃🏼💃🏼💃🏼💃🏼
❤❤❤love it
Thanks! 😊
How would you do 2 colors not 3
😊
I thought with a gingham blanket that seeing the colors when you carry is a true gingham
Hi girl
Too many times changing colors for me and i dont like making blankets at all nooe its pretty though!! Thanks! ❤❤
Carrying yarn is hard. Hopefully someone knows the secret to invisible carrying. Still looks pretty the way it is, though.
❤❤❤
😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘
Ooooooooo😮
I’m weird with you where colour balance is concerned…also pattern balance. ….stripe matching. That’s just how I am! 😂
👍🫶🏻
