I hate this argument. If we're all sleeping 8 hours a night, we all have the same amount of time to be productive. A person waking up at 5am and is asleep by 9, is no more productive than the person thats asleep by 11 and waking at 7. The way you use your time is what decides how much you get accomplished.
So assuming some of your competition are health conscious people getting 7-8 hours of sleep, do you have an advantage? You up at 5am then you went to bed at 7 or 8? Hypothetically some of these people go to sleep 9 or 10? They can catch up while you are sleeping too?
The chance that someone is productive at 5am is BY FAR better than someone that’s up until 10-11p. Typically people are watching TV, sitting around wasting time and eating junk - not things anyone is doing at 5am. So even if everyone is sleeping 8hrs the person up at 5am is almost always more productive.

Why are you assuming people who do not know you exist are “competing” against you.
Inflation is over 3% and ffr increased over 5% in two years. Nobody cares about you waking up early.
Except me, bc I took the time to write all that and post it.
