It's been so long since the car came off the production line and it's still amazing. The car has everything for a comfortable driving. It almost doesn’t rot, so it’s more likely that the owner will die before this car with an engine dies😀
I love the look of the wagons and coupes, and I agree, the 2.0 and 2.2 HDi engines are utterly bulletproof! Those Aisin (Toyota) sourced 6sp autos are equally as solid too!
I justi got one of these, the 2008 2.2 engine actually, it's the most comfortable land barge I've driven, it really Is comfortable, it feels like you're maneuvering a small boat but I don't say this negatively, it's a huge car, the front is extra long but the car does its job and you can take friends or go alone or use it as a small van, the power of the 2.2 will never be anything short of awesome also, I usually drive at a normal speed but when I need to overtake I does so with no effort, uphill it beats many small cars, powerful car for towing something if you need it, the huge panoramic roof will have your rear seat passengers delighted, great car.
@@testdrivehero in all honesty I had never seen or at least paid attention to this car, but I was looking for a used car that could do everything from going to work to going on a drive with no destination or picking up friends from the airport and when I saw this car I thought it had that peculiar look and I loved it immediately, I also love the look of French cars, where I live there's this massive long uphill road where most cars struggle to go up in 2ng gear but this peculiar looking boat sized beast goes up in third and fourth gear, it's awesome I never feel underpowered, I never felt tight inside it either, some cars you feel like you're wearing the car like a tshirt lol but not this one, it's not the greatest car in the world but it's very versatile and with somewhat unique looks.
@@testdrivehero I’ve no idea what’s the reason (only Peugeot knows). Altough I think that It’s only a good thing, It feels a little bit weird, when a 407 from -07 is otherwise completely similar as a one year older individual. No facelift, nothing different… 🤔

@@20Kilogram Yes, I was surprised with the good dynamics to be a boat.
Never tested the 2.2 HDI or the petrol versiom neither.

@@20Kilogram Nice to read you that you are glad of owning it :)
If you're interested, in this channel there's plenty of french cars tested!
@@testdrivehero I'll have a look buddy 🙂👍
The turning signal sound is less annoying than in older 407s (2006 and older individuals). 😁👍
Yes you're right😂

@@VolvoMarkku Well, they had just a little subtle changes, like front grill style, some types of wheels and the rear lights.
I love it so much
👌🏻
You didn't test it in Sports Mode
Massive slowly gearbox but super-comfortable car!
Hahaha definitely are not a PDK gearbox!

Peugeot 407 sw or Toyota Aventis d.cat?what's better?
If I'm honest, I just drove the Avensis MK1 8 years ago, but not the one which is from the same gen of the 407😅
Which country?
Spain!
@@testdrivehero Okay, nice. Hola amigos, viva España! saludos desde Finlandia! 😊🇫🇮
🙂 👍 🇹🇷
Does this car had air suspension like its citroen cousins?
@@MrAndreCoutinho No, it's conventional
As I know, Peugeot never used the Hydroneumatic system of Citroën.
@@testdrivehero less things to go wrong then.
@@MrAndreCoutinho 😂👌🏻
What's with the fake UK plates? :D
Just to protect the real car and owner identity on static views :)
@@testdrivehero Makes perfect sense. :)
