We are so excited that you have your own channel... My wife and I think you are great and the best thing that has ever happened to Jim... Ron and Diane
Tori! So happy to see you on your own channel! We watch you and Jim and Huddy and Wesley and North all the time. We really enjoy your videos. Jim is amazing but YOU are really extremely amazing! You work so hard to care for your family! You are wonderful! We will follow your channel diligently. We love Jim’s as well. Your two children are so cute and funny you are so lucky. Look forward to watch both channels. Thank you Tori!
I just LOVE that you´re making you're own channel! I've been watching Jim's channel for a couple of years now. Really enjoy his own achievments but love the videos of the whole family, with you making a big contribute (and the kids ofcourse). Looking forward to new stuff from you! Big love from Sweden!
Yay Tori! I am subscribed and look forward to seeing the Baird's Family life through your eyes. I was hooked on the last family overland and canoe trip because of the very real emotional experiences you shared with us on camera. I love being outside and doing small bush craft projects and short camping adventures, so I am all in with your channel. Good luck and, like all youtubers, you will learn as you go.
I whole heartedly agree with you!! Maple syrup season is such a wonderful time of year. Thrilled you are able to do this and make your own syrup for you and the family!!! Looking forward to following your channel!! Thank you for sharing of yourself, your family and your time! 💞
Hey Tori we are so happy you have your own channel now! We love watching you and your beautiful family. Both yours and Jim’s content is the best thing in you tube You are AMAZING Your children are so lucky to have all these amazing experiences
You and Jim are so blessed to be living where you are, the area is beautiful ❤️❤️. Thanks for starting your own channel, I am looking forward to more adventures involving your daily life activities with the kids❤️❤️
Nice video Tori! Love to see the whole family hanging out together. Wish I were there to help you boil it down, but soon you’ll have another body with the little “joiner” Huddie!
8:40 both parents alternately calling out toddler's name who is wandering away with nary a single acknowledgement seems to be a universal experience hahaha
Hi Tori We're still in sap season here in Northern MN. Our temps dipped back below freezing so the sap is frozen in the bags yet. I love this time of year! We use a barrel stove and finish off the syrup in the house once it cooks down and is just about ready to finish.
Great job Tori ! I have watched so many of your family trips & many of Jim's adventures & now watching you getting ready for the big cookoff , Maple syrup :))
When stringing tubing , take thermos bottle of hot water with you and dip the tubing end in the hot water for a few seconds and it will push onto the spile easier .
We go to a maple farm every year for buckwheat pancakes and fresh maple syrup. We buy different grades to use for special occasions. You’re a beast though Tori! Looking forward to more videos.
We could have tapped in late January here in West Michigan! We tapped on February 19th and were done as of about a week and a half ago. Noticed today the Sugar Maples have buds already!! Crazy year for sure!
So exciting. I grew up in western New Hampshire and went out on a horse drawn wagon to collect sap on a neighbor’s property many times as a kid. He had a big out building where he boiled down the sap. It was fun to be part of the process. Can’t wait to see the next video now. All nostalgic
Awesome video. Love your new channel and I definitely love watching maple syrup time. Hudson is getting so big and learning to help more and more. Good luck on your new channel and hope it does well. Don’t overdo your work load because you already have a lot on your plate
I can really see this as an exciting ritual in the transition from winter to spring. Growing up in Michigan, I remember going out hunting for morels as another one of those annual events. Fun times!
I wish we had a “maple season” here in SW Missouri. It would be a fun thing to do. We are already in early garden season. My cool weather crops are already in..
I’m soaking in all this info but I’m wondering if it’s worth my effort to tap the three maples I have? You have a full production line. Normally I wouldn’t have considered this but you are so inspirational . I love your family..I love watching your videos..I hope you all are having a great summer.❤❤❤
I am all in for this, Tori! I follow you on Instagram, so this is very exciting. I also have one of your “Paddle like a Girl” t-shirts and hope to travel up to Canada someday soon to take your canoeing/ camping course with my daughter. I love that you are unapologetically you! Much respect!
Not silly at all! You can put two taps on one tree as long as the tree is wider than 18 inches in diameter and three taps for a tree wider than 25 inches or more
Never tapped trees, nor seen how it’s done. My Dad always said “A question is not dumb, unless you already knew the answer.” So, here is my question - I can’t identify many tree types. So, what do you look for to know it’s a maple tree?
That’s definitely not a stupid question! Especially since we’re tapping in early spring before it has leaves, you have to be able to identify it based on the bark and the branches. Here’s a good article on how to identify them: ferrinbrookfarm.wordpress.com/2016/02/12/identifying-maple-trees-in-winter-to-tap-for-maple-syrup-2/
Tori, the kids, and North are the stars of the Baird family. Jim just kind of tags along.
We are so excited that you have your own channel... My wife and I think you are great and the best thing that has ever happened to Jim...

Haha, thank you! ❤️
You are right!
Jims a lucky man, he knows it! Safe travels and safety.🤍

I like your sap line setup. 18 L of syrup is amazing! What a great property you have.
Great video, I especially loved how helpful Huddy was with the hammer!
We love maple syrup time too! Ahhh so relaxing and you are so right about the light at the end of the tunnel. Spring is almost here! ✌️🇨🇦💕🍁
This is such a calming video. What an amazing place to live, near that gorgeous river!

Love your own channel. Mmmmmmaple syrup, boil it down. 40 gallons equals one gallon of syrup.
This is so great Tori!!! Thanks for sharing and the effort it takes to do do so 🙂 💜 B
The anticipation of that first pour of maple syrup over flap jacks

This was fun!
Cheers Tori 👍🌹👍
We go to a maple farm every year for buckwheat pancakes and fresh maple syrup. We buy different grades to use for special occasions. You’re a beast though Tori! Looking forward to more videos.
Following you now on your channel too! we get a glimpse of life outside of Texas heat and humidity. LOL Thank you!
Love great job Tori ❤❤❤
I am so excited for you. Jim's got some serious competition 😂. Maybe you should bottle that up and sell it. I'd be the first to buy it.
We could have tapped in late January here in West Michigan! We tapped on February 19th and were done as of about a week and a half ago. Noticed today the Sugar Maples have buds already!! Crazy year for sure!
Good job, Tori! TY!

Does Jim remember his grade 3 maple syrup speech?
Awesome content by the way.

👍🏻
Wow, so many maple cyrus come from those trees that taste like honey?😮
Your property scares me, the rushing river and a curious toddler running around.😮
I know, I feel the same way! Constant eye on this little guy!
First yeaaaa
I am all in for this, Tori! I follow you on Instagram, so this is very exciting. I also have one of your “Paddle like a Girl” t-shirts and hope to travel up to Canada someday soon to take your canoeing/ camping course with my daughter. I love that you are unapologetically you! Much respect!
Thank you so much! I hope you’re able to make it up here one day too!
You have a beautiful property did it take some getting used to listening to that running water 💦😊
I couldn’t live there. Too noisy for me, unless this is a high water thing. I love to hear nature.
❤❤ I KNOW THIS SOUNDS SILLY BUT COULD YOU TAP OPPOSITE SIDES OF ONE TREE TO GET MORE SAP??❤❤
Not silly at all! You can put two taps on one tree as long as the tree is wider than 18 inches in diameter and three taps for a tree wider than 25 inches or more
I wondered the same thing TY for asking 🍁
My wife and I want to try this. Is it hard to get the taps back out? How do you plug the holes? Love this video!
Do you plug the trees when you are finished tapping them? Wish we could do this in Scotland as I love maple syrup.
Never tapped trees, nor seen how it’s done. My Dad always said “A question is not dumb, unless you already knew the answer.” So, here is my question - I can’t identify many tree types. So, what do you look for to know it’s a maple tree?

Hi teri just joined I watch you and Jim say hi to huddy and wesly🎉🎉🎉
Hello! Thanks for watching 😊
Thanks for sharing this video. I am not familiar with the tapping process. How long can you tap a tree without damaging it?
Beutiful home love where you live
Hi, Tori. Can you put more than one tap in a larger tree?
