      Thanks! After 13 years of ownership, and 5 years of being parked, I sold it last year to a new young rider. It was a shame to leave it to rot, so I cleaned it up and running right then passed it on to a someone new to enjoy it. He seemed thrilled.

    Just found this vid, I just bought this bike a few weeks back. Needs a little love to get back on the road. Most of the parts from the build are still on it. It made its way to Arizona.

      Love to see it! Hope she's not too bad off. I sold her after 13 years of ownership like 2 years ago up here in Michigan.

      Would love to hear the story of the bike since its left my hands if you have any other information. I think I messaged you on FB. Check your messages there. Try and fill in any information I might have on the bike you might need.

    They are UNI pod filter... Don't remember the Diameter off hand, but I think I got them as a bundle package with the dynojet stage 3 carb kit.

    @rollcage9710 Haha... sorry it was like 3 am after putting in like 10 hours working on that bike that day. I was wired and in desperate need of sleep, but I o so wanted to record those videos so they could upload to youtube overnight.

    Great work on the hawk. Did you press the steering stem out of the hawk triple and press it into yamaha triple to make the stem bearings work?

    • @Celco217
      @Celco217  Год назад

      The R6 stem stayed stock, as well as the Hawk frame. Allballs racing has a chart somewhere to order conversion bearing kits. Bearing OD of frame and Bearing ID of stem. They give a recipe of bearing to use to fit.

    How did you like the 663 pistons? Are they 12:1? Why not 696 piston?

    Hey man - Love the bike and the mods !! If you don't mind me asking - how did you find the uni pod filters with the stage 3 jet kit using the cv carbs ? I've read a lot that pod filters on cv carbs can be quite turbulent ? Does the bike rip all the way thru the throttle range ? Thanking you in advance mate - C (I have a nt650v deauville streetfighter and i'm wanting to do the same with my carbs and pod filters)

    Where'd you find the Hugger ???

    • @Celco217
      @Celco217  4 года назад

      Hawkgtforum member Fabian made them many moons ago. I think there have been a few recent group buys from him. I think there were like 15 of us that ordered from him in Germany, that got shipped and then distributed by a state side forum member. Look up Fabian rear hugger. He makes belly pans and rear cowls too. Just a guy that loves hawks and hand makes neat parts.

    What a brilliant video of a stunning bike totally ruined by the inability to hold a f'ing phone steady!. Got sea sick after a couple of min. Sweet ride but .....

      I recorded this YEARS ago on a phone that sucked for video, and also kept stopping the recording. I know the video is terrible, sorry for it. Bike is getting sold soon if anyone interested in it near Detroit, MI. Roads suck here and I don't ride much anymore.

      @@Celco217 As I'm in the UK I can't think of buying but I would be real keen in you making another video of the bike before it gets sold - on a decent phone :-D - as it looked so sweet. Good luck & stay safe

      @@aberdeenaviationphotograph9311 I'll see what I can do before it gets sold. I cant even remember what phone I had 10 years ago, but the recording technology was way lower quality back then.
