@@jessicastevens1969bro you are insanely good at the micro stuff omg. I’d love to see you be like a micro Lego designer. Love to put a set like that in my collection. Small but has alot of interesting stuff to look at

most modern cities have grown up around a large river or body of water, maybe the new one could have a large river running through it? could really add character to the landscape while still allowing a modern look. Really great work all around, loving every addition.
I go back to old videos and watch them one after the other it’s so nice to see a project come together in a few hrs which was actually months if not years!
In the "modeltrain world" you have shadowstations. Those are multiple hidden tracks with switches where you can "store" your trains so it looks they are travelling to other places. And then you let train by train appear on the "stage" when you want. It looks more realistic when they are not just going round and round...maybe it's a idea for your project :)
Thank you for showing my MOC also on the brickcrafts channel. Good luck with the airport and all other projects and videos. See you soon in the museum.
If the airport has a sizable watch tower, it would be amazing to see a motorized elevator in it with glass windows so you can see the elevator ascending and descending
Airports are cool to fill a large area fast. I think they tend to be quite empty looking and might not fit in once the city is filled in. Maybe consider removing the airport later once you run out of room. For now it will be a great way to add a lot fast.
I LOVE the attention to detail with the buffer stop, most people would have built the little rail end block thingy, and then moved on, which is what you see almost everywhere, adding the little buffers adds quite a bit of realism to the city.
The runway looks like it's a bit close to the tall buildings in the mock-up at 1:22, especially since it looks like it's pointing right at the buildings. I'd suggest adding a bit of a buffer between the end of the runway and raising it up above ground level (probably more the latter since real runways require a LOT of empty space around them).
I think some ambiance sounds would be amazing, maybe a button infront of every part of the city. It would definitely make the tour of the MOC more interesting and unique.
Just love following your work! Great job you do here! Could easily join in to build! A small and humble suggestion: when the time comes, why not extend your train to the airport terminal, as it is quite common in most city airports to have a direct line to the city. Cheers from Switzerland (and I can’t wait to see the cable car in action!)
THE MICRO VERSION OF THE OLD CITY IS ADORABLE!!! If the creator allows it maybe you can have that on display somewhere as like a history thing hehe. Absolutely top notch content, thank you so much for sharing these, I'm in total awe of the level of patience and creativity you have to make such beautiful art.
Very nice work, as always. I just had a suggestion popping into my mind : train tracks need a lot of space, so don't you think uplifting the future tracks would give the future modern city more space to grow ?
@@paulschmidt832You could include a separate elevated loop that's half hidden. Then just program the regular track to hide while the small track takes a short turn.
I can’t tell you enough how much I look forward to these videos. This by far has to be my favorite LEGO RUclips channel. Just the time and realism you put into your builds a Lego city. It’s just out-siding. Keep up the good work.
I think it would be a good idea to have all three tracks disappear into tunnels to further help the transition from the rural to urban areas. It also would help prevent having 2 train stations along the same straight section of track. Bringing the hill to the front of the city could also add some really fun depth
I would absolutely love it if you integrate something miniature / micro-scale in your actual city as well. Perhaps a small mountain village all the way in the back, near the cable station? Would be so cool to see your take on microbuilds. Please give a thumbs up if you endorse this suggestion.
This is by far THE most enjoyable Lego channel and perhaps my favourite subscription channel. Love it and I often find myself wishing for more updates, but appreciate the time it takes and I would not want to see you do this any differently. Great work my man ❤ Love the MOC credit at the end also, nice to see 👍
i love that at 6:38 you can see the train through that red building, its little bit unrealistick to see that but it added so much depth to the city and added that big city car reflection from shop windows effect vibe, if you could incorporate more such things to the city it would bring the city so much more to the life
Your lego city is absolutely crazy with all the tiny details, but when the train goes around the houses in the back you cn see it for like 3 seconds at 6 :39 under the red house, maybe you can cover it up by expanding the red house or something like this.
The painted clouds are beautiful! The animated sketch effect is really top notch. This feels very professional! You are acting out my dream by creating this city, and you do it so well! I will fly out to see it in person when it is opened to the public! Have you set up a patreon to accept donations?
Love the video. I enjoy watching the world grow. But I would love to know more about how you cover the costs of such a large build and maybe a bit of history on how this all started.
Maybe you could add a train car that has a "cellphone holder" built in Lego, for visitors to put their smartphone in. So visitors can record their own video of what it's like to ride along from the train's perspective 😅 Just an idea!
Awesome video as always, loved the airport idea, good luck! And so was the micro-scale! I feel like some farm lands would really suit the lower empty part like you said. Also to be honest I feel like this white building and vegetation isn't enough to fill that triangule, something seems to be missing... Anyways, Happy Halloween see you next week :)
Id like to suggest that you somehow fix a fpv drone camera to the locomotive and setup a tv screen somewhere in the room that will display a first person view of the train ride. This will be a good addition for the future museum visitors. And would give you an excuse to build the interior of the tunnels. Also you could make use of your underground train station moc that you showed a few videos ago. Ps The miniature moc of your miniature city is nuts!❤
Not sure if the multi-room train is still a thing, but this could work with a tunnel as well... What if the train exiting the room/tunnel transition was a different style to match the current area? Would be quite the challenge to route the outgoing train style back to its starting location all below the table. Easier with one way tracks like the multi-room transition. Could also add a transition to below ground going into the modern city. Build subway stops with a small mirror setup inside to see the subway go by below the road?
I think in the modern section your building it would be really cool to have something like a fire station or a building under construction with scaffolding and the like
All the plans you have for the city sound epic! The airport is going to be amazing, and I can’t wait to see what you do with the ski lift! Also the city sounds really cool 😎
Your plans sound great. Might be cool to have one skyscraper to be only half built with a large crane and bare steel beams with construction workers. Also many airports have a plane taxiway bridge that goes over things like roads or even canals might be interesting to add.
the airport is going to be way less interesting than people think. basically gray everywhere. you should integrate it with other stuff, such as a sea port or a F1 track, or both
This is such a W series and channel. You have created something truly special out of toys. I also have a suggestion.. could you make a botanical garden in your city? :)
I would suggest adding an industrial part to the new area of town - a factory or something similar. Maybe even a few industrial buildings. And near the forest you could make a sawmill and an additional train stop with wood near it, it would make the city more interesting and diverse
No clue where this could fit, but it’d be really awesome to see like maybe a junkyard or something. (This is just bias because i love junky and like ruined stuff lol)
When you do the airport, look to give ample flight path for take off and landings between the runway and taller buildings for the new area. London City Airport and Canary Wharf in the UK is a good example.
If you're travelling to central europe, it's definitely worth to visit the museum in person. IIRC it is located in Rosenheim, which is one of the most beautyful places in germany.
You should add a commercial district instead of tall skyscarpers it would fit in SO much better jst a sugggestion! also your videos are like so exciting to me also!!!
I cannot wait to see the airport section, and this scale model it’s so awesome, for sure the updated version of the finished project must be displayed on the museum!
Awesome update! I'm looking forward to the airport, but I may suggest trying to account for the approach of aircraft, to not have tall buildings right at the end of the runway
super excited about future builds, the airport seem so cool I cant wait to see it unfold. Also your viewers mock lego build was the cutest thing ~~!!!!!
I used to live in Europe. The idea of seeing another ruined castle among the mountains brings a lot of nostalgia. Can't wait to see what it ends up looking like!
Cant wait for the mountain!, you should maybe move the bus stop to be in front of the the cable car station so they no longer have to cross the level crossing to get there
I think adding a bust stop outside the cable car station would be good, maybe with a bus, and some people getting off the bus and walking over to the cable car
This was a great update, loved the animated preview of future plans and ideas. However, I don't know if others will agree, but I feel that using that huge space for airport would be a bit of a waste 😕 You could build a breathtaking modern part of the city in that area. Maybe connect it with the old town with a big Golden Gate style bridge, and everything in between could be water? So that means maybe to fit the airport right next to the village. Love you chanel man, it's my favourite part of the week.
Or build it towards the back, so the perspective allows it to be smaller. Unless there is a lot of detail; for a terminal, perhaps, but for a runway I doubt that.
As a huge fan of airports and your builds, I am super excited to see how you build your airport. Century Skyway is my favorite Lego set of all time, so much so that I could disassemble and rebuild the set with no instructions when I was 8 years old. Can't wait to see the progress don't he new expansion!!
If you have enough space, you should definitely build a ski resort. It would look great in the background to have some working ski lifts and little alpine cabins!
I love this channel, watching the city grow in each video is so cool and I can't wait to see the new and exiting buildings and techniques you come up with.
If you want some inspiration for a modern city that isn't as Europeans in style/architecture, I'd genuinely give downtown Detroit a look. It has a surprising amount of open green spaces, with a more axle and spoke design as apposed to the more prevalent American grids. With a wide selection of modern to early 20th century buildings to take inspiration from I think it would be a cool choice.
You get bonus points for planning to run the trains "slowly"! Almost every model railway is run far too fast, plus it unneccessarily wears the trains and the tracks and makes a little bit too much notice too.
I really look forward to each new video you post and I wish you had more time to create content because I could watch your city construction all day long! It's looking amazing and I can't wait to see the airport developing, great work! 😀👍
love all the planning and inspiration he shares, because of course this is how things all start. I remember doing similar sketches over images for layouts, whilst adding irl inspiration!
Amazing as always! As a transit fan, I would move the smaller train stop near the cable car station, to allow people to transfer directly from the train to the cable car. I would also make only short local train stop there and let intercity trains just skip that stop. Other idea: because you have a central double track section, I would make trains ride on both sides in opposite directions and make each other wait at the end of the double track: this would give so much realism to the model.
OK, I admit it. The opening of the video with the (awesome delivery of the) voice-over as the train derails made me truly 'laugh out loud'. Thank you so much for that!!!!
There for sure has to be a river running down the mountain into that lake in front of it. You've probably planned that, but just in case you didn't. It makes the landscape more realistic, because that's how most rivers and lakes form: glaciers.
Soo much content to come in the future but when its eventually done it should be so Satisfying to look at and enjoy with all the details, building, figs, and lights, keep up the great work.
Love your update, looking forward to seeing how it progresses. As a big fan and frequent builder of microscale, I absolutely love the MOC you showed at the end as well. Stunning! 😍😍
From a logistical standpoint, not sure if it's been suggested yet - but from the train station in the village, make a small pedestrian bridge over the tracks and then a path that leads to the lift station. This would make sense since there's not a large lot for parking next to the lift, so that people have easy access to the lift still.
About the cable cart station and the lack of parking spots you mentioned that the tourists will have to arrive via bus or train. I think that is a great idea. From what I see your city is missing any sort of bus transportation. It would be lovely to add a bunch of bus stops so that the citizens can travel withing a specific area with public transport. It will also allow you to offer access (such as the cable cart station) that would otherwise be very difficult or even nonsensical to access otherwise. In the example with the cable cart station you can add a small bus stop right on the side of the main road, where tourists can disembark the bus and cover a very short distance on foot so that they reach the cable cart.
Unbelievable work as always. I really enjoy how you explain everything behind your planning. Please include some rock climbers on the mountain or a rock climbing gym in your new urban area if you can. :D
Future urban area with a canal would be cool, maybe inspiration taken from Amsterdam? Oooh, you could lower the canal down like you did the harbor...(like a channel cut into the table, with a box built underneath to hold the canal and walls)...you could have bridges going across....that would be a lot of work though!
It is so impressive, I'll clearly never get bored by your videos, I could watch that for hours, you are so creative and... I just have no words, I mean, everything you do is perfect. Please don't change anything!!😁😁
Brickcrafts, I love your work and love that you haven't been letting passive aggressive comments get to your mindset on the city, suggestions of what could be added instead of something you enjoy.
Watching this I had a thought, you’ll probably hang a cloth to cover up the gaps between the table and the floor - but what about a sheer cliff Lego face that’s meant to represent underground? Then you could add sections under the table such as a mine that has a working elevator to the surface, or even a ‘hell’ section with red led’s? And inversely from the ceiling you could hang a plane that performs a loop not just over the city but where visitors would stand? And possibly even a heaven section (clouds, angels etc) to mirror a hell section? Use all the space you have!
This is so impressive! My daughter and I watch a video every night! And that micro scale is amazing, should definitely display that somewhere in the museum!
The MOC of the micro-scale city is absolutely amazing! Props to the person who made it

OK, I admit it. The opening of the video with the (awesome delivery of the) voice-over as the train derails made me truly 'laugh out loud'. Thank you so much for that!!!!
I think some campers in the forest would give it a nice touch! Many people in the city but not that many in the nature!
Campers as in vehicles or campers as in persons, both would be great.
The microscope MOC of your original layout is superb! The fan who made it deserves the first ticket to your museum when it opens!
Love your update, looking forward to seeing how it progresses. As a big fan and frequent builder of microscale, I absolutely love the MOC you showed at the end as well. Stunning! 😍😍
I used to have small ideas for legos when I was a kid, and watching Brickcraft’s videos was mind blowing. Love it ❤️
From a logistical standpoint, not sure if it's been suggested yet - but from the train station in the village, make a small pedestrian bridge over the tracks and then a path that leads to the lift station.
I can’t describe how excited i get to see your weekly posts for this lego update!!!
Amazing video as usual. Drawing the plan over the video is a great idea! What about dust? Keeping it clean can be a nightmare.
Awesome! 👏👏👏 my favorite Lego City
Love the update! Makes me excited for the future!!
Your model is coming along well. It looks so great, I bet it would be a star attraction at a Lego convention!
This looks incredible. I would suggest some sort of rail yard/shed somewhere visible, to help sell that it’s a working railway.
That empty board is a Lego paradise waiting to be built!
That drawing the places was sick!
This is so impressive! My daughter and I watch a video every night!
And that micro scale is amazing, should definitely display that somewhere in the museum!
