It'll be interesting to see how this turns out. One thing I love about rat rods is they're built like a piece of art, specific to each persons individuality.
Great step by step Bob...I love what you are doing, very inspiring..I'm looking at 1928 this week end, hopefully I can pull it off like you have been doing...hope you will be able to answer questions, from a more beginner than you..lol
Thanks! If you're looking at a 28, grab it while you can! I'm always open to answering questions anytime. I'm working on another video now and should post it soon. Good luck!!!
@@beginnerbob4607 thanks for replying, very cool! I've never commented on anything ever, I had to sign in last night to do so..I went and looked at the 28 this morning, it was little over whelming and scared me a little , never doing one before..I told him I'd be back...but so much debating in my head lol
Hi Bob, Great Project. Are your chassis rails 2 " x 3" ? A friend and I have a set of parts - engine, transmission, propeller, differential and axle, steering and front rear suspension. We wanted to build a Rat rod but were not sure how to start on the chassis. We will be watching closely to guide us in our project.
Seen the videos love them didnt know if anything else was going to appear on the channel alot of the videos have comments turned off. Hope everything is ok.
I love whaching rat rods transform into peoples individual works of art. Not one is the same. Looking forward to more

More to come...
Just started watching. Stumbled across a later video so I went back and started here. Looks like I’m going to like it!
Anxious to see this evolve. Very cool. Will be building a rat for myself within the next year so interested in watching this. Thx!

The chassis rails are 2"x4"x.375". I sectioned the front rails down to 3 inch giving it a tapered look.
Love the car. Where did you find the two top cab panels
If I remember right, I get them from Ecklers.

Any update on this car? Wheels? Waiting on new videos. Haha
Is it normal for the doors to overlap? I just bought a 1930 sedan
Yes I believe so. Some builders customize the doors to be flush. There wasn't a lot of accuracy back then, so the overlap makes up for that.
@@beginnerbob4607 ok thanks for clearing that up
