Oh my days look at how clean and minimalistic his studio is! Give it another year and there’ll be about 10 different synthesizers, racks of expensive hardware, thousands of pounds worth of coloured lighting and he’ll be colour-coding his clothing to match his studio gear. Let’s hope he doesn’t fall into this trap like some other RUclipsrs that I watch. It’s all getting a bit silly really isn’t it? I would rather work less and have less gear but it does seem to be a trap that a lot of RUclipsrs are falling into? Mega GAS! I mean it’s taken me 20 years (yes lol) to be able to have a simple home studio set up and find the ENERGY, time and money to actually buy cubase and get everything working together. You would NOT believe the research that has gone into choosing pc components alone and problem solving compatibility issues! Then there’s the desk, chair, interface and a monitor! It’s taken the whole of the lockdown to sort those. My keyboard controller manual is about 200 pages reading alone (nektar P6) and I’ve spent thousands of hours studying music production and live sound, including doing a four-year degree. I’ve been using neundo 2 in all this time and there are so many new features in C11 I’m more or less having to start again! People have absolutely NO idea how much work goes into all this and this is before you even start with actually making good music and finding clients! Then there’s filming and editing and learning how to use social media. It’s exhausting even thinking about it! I’ve just spent a week working out how to monitor my drums which are upstairs but the good news is I’ve cracked it and I’ll be able to rehearse with a band soon in my house 🤩. I’m really looking forward to starting a Thinkspace composition course and working on original music again in my upgraded studio 💕
This leggo approach explains why music has become disposable. It starts with an impulse or beat, instead of a revelation or thought. Nothing to enrich the soul, just another kid playing with blocks that someone else made for them. That isn't really music, It's really pretty childish. But there are less thinkers today so they like this false sense of accomplishment stuff. I have no need for the machine to think for me. I have thoughts all by myself. lol He is a good teacher. And anyone who needs these chord finders would never know if it was a B or an H anyway. lol
I agree. I believe that "the machine" can be useful for giving people access to more tools and instruments, but at the same time has led to everyone resorting to dragging and dropping essential pieces of their composition without much thought at all. So yeah it's pretty much legos. Beethoven will get a kick out of this one lol
Très bien expliqué, merci beaucoup!
Thank you again, Thomas Foster. These are the BEST tutorials!
Another great video! From cubase looking like a spaceship control room, to more and more understandable thing. Thanks a lot.

Ausgezeichnet!!!
Cool means you have an external locus of control. You learn that in time. Life is no fun being a worm on someone else's hook.
Cubase AI 11 does not have midi inserts. Is there any other method to get the job done?
Eat your heart out Yankees (and Aussie). This the way to teach - not at 100 MPH/KPH. Mind you I didn't know that we had a note "H" in music!!!
