#5 needs to be across the board both Military and civilian when it comes to leadership and those who deserve to be told those things. If you are in a leadership role and shit on people 24/7 when they are doing good bad or indifferent they are going to say OK fuck this and you too! Letting someone down that has pushed you and put that positive reinforcement into your head is such a game changer and it REALLY hurts when you let them down even worse than your self. But it gets that mindset of ok after a little rest and refocusing im getting back on that horse.
Interesting perspective and good advice. Although I'm 4 of 5 things you mentioned. Just retired last year after 26 years and 20 of those was a Green Beret. For those interested in any branch Special Operations train your mind as much as your body. Your mind will give up before your body does. It comes down to how bad you really want it.
Training right now for Airborne infantry and after my 4 year contract is over I wanna be a green beret. Your videos on top of my dads advice (he was a marine for 4 years. Then national guard and now he’s a loadmaster in the Air Force) are helping me so much. Great video man. The hanging out with losers part made me drop my friend group. They told me I wouldn’t make it. Only motivated me more to push myself harder. I WILL prove them wrong and fulfill my dream of being a green beret.
Tons of people fail SFAS when they’re new guys with 18x contract but I’ve know quite a few dudes that went and passed the Q from the 82nd airborne. Not a bad strategy and expectation man.
Awesome video again, described me to a T. I'm 19 now, I've been training hard and fast for over a year solid, I hope to go to selection at beginning of '25. Keep these videos coming man I appreciate them, great motivation. I am sure I'll get in at this rate.
All five signs say I will be Special Forces...I've sold everything, divorced my wife and I'm ready to get on with it. I don't know how this is going to happen because I'm 45 years old, but trusting what you say. Thanks.
Straight to the point? No bullshit, you listed your 5 signs in the description, no click bait. Thank you Jay! You're channel is blowing up and everyone who watches knows it will continue to do so!

Hey man, I'm new to the channel. I'm currently 17 with an 11x contract, and I leave for BCT this summer. My dream is to serve in the 75th RR. Any advice for me as I finish my senior year? Thanks for the content, this stuff helps.
@@GreenBeretChronicles Funny thing though , I learnt some of these ideas indirectly from people like you. The mental strength ,goal and purpose did change a bit ( I guess)

I have no support from friends or family in my decision to choose Ranger and try to move up into an SMU one day so i look to men like you. Should I be smoking myself daily? I'm talking 4000 calories burned average before any workouts or running/rucks Monday through Friday. I tear through 9 bottles of water a day. I feel like my job is stopping me from getting stronger and faster cause I can't repair myself in time. It's hard manual labor. I read in RASP that they burn 6 to 7 thousand calories a day and only consume around 2500. I can handle the smoke sessions, im not being a baby, but right now, I think it's not helping me get better and put meat on the bone before selection.
Surprising video to say the least, when I clicked on this video I was thinking that you were going to say things like "You can easily run 15 miles" and things like that but when you started mentioning those things it started opening my mind and get a different perspective on joining. Im joining as an 18x in a couple months.
I want to become a Green Beret but i also own/operate a trucking company with an old friend. So my question is, would National Guard Special Forces be a good fit? Id like to make them both work.
Yoo man I had a question I’m a 68w(medic) at 4th ID here in Carson I wanna be a SOF medic and get TF out of the big army I joined the army because I wanted to be in a group of people that wanted to exceed the standard and that’s true for a few people in my company by it’s underwhelming I’m dropping a SFAS packet before the end of this year I was just wondering if I get selected at SFAS do I have any say in the mos I get because I want to become a 18d I’m very Interested in the medical especially trauma medicine and I don’t see myself doing another mos but I wouldn’t mind as long as I could be in a more competitive community
@@Butternut1861 Bro all special forces have an age limit. Now if you were to say Army Rangers 42 is the cut off but they aren't the same as green beret or seals. That was made very clear by the recruiter.

The term special forces are specifically towards green berets. Special Operations forces (SOF) is the broad term.
