It's something with Ducatis, none of them like to be ridden under 3k rpm, that's why it's shaking so much pulling away at low speeds. The older ones will stall on you if you don't feather the clutch correctly and that's quite the ask with that heavy hydraulic clutch.
@Draecko spot on. It's really lumpy below 3k rpm, but it's really smooth from there all the way up to the 14500 rpm. It's a race bike, not a cruiser. As for the dry clutch? That is to prevent pieces of clutch debris from being pumped around the gearbox and engine. They last longer and are easy to change. It's not for everyone, but I love mine and wouldn't swap it for any other bike. 👍
Yeah, my 1199 and 1299 are really tough to drive on the street with any kind of stop and go traffic.

It would be much worse with a cable . They use hydraulics for the force multiplication. I converted my SV 650 to hydraulic actuation partly for that very reason.
@@TTRCyou don’t know what you are talking about. I owned a 2019 v4r and my clutch was slipping at 2000 miles. After replacing 2 sets of dry clutch under 6000miles I got rid of that poser bike. Don’t get me started with the bad heat issue at traffic even after switching to samco hose and ice engine.
Modes make a HUGE difference in the V4's. If you have it in race mode, it will behave like a race bike. One that actually wins so you may be unfamiliar with how it operates in that mode.
I think the shaking is the 2 cylinder mode for emissions at low speed. You can remap so it's always runs on all four cylinders. I remaped my Diavel V4 to always run on all four cylinders and it runs smoothly. Also the quick shifter works best when you shift above 8,000 RPM and higher, below that RPM it can feel jerky.
I have this (well the SP2) and a BMW M1000R both are great bikes, but the Ducati is on another level for me in terms of emotion trasmitted while raiding
I had a 2022 Ducati Monster 937 as my first ever bike, and while that bike made a nice sound and looked cool I did not like it being so jumpy below 4k rpm. Driving in traffic was a pain. It also had some odd front brake issue that the dealer could not fix. I traded in the bike for a BMW M1000R after test riding it, best thing I ever did. I love the look of the Ducati bikes, but will never buy one again.
After watching this I am so much more confident about going with my ZH2 over this bike, my ZH2 is comfy, has cruise control, and is still just as fast, only sacrifice you really make is the weight and cornering, but since im not at the track and only doing long 3hour+ fun mountain riders the ZH2 really is the best bike for the job up here in Colorado. I feel like you should just go for the Panigale V4 since it's the same thing but at least u get the wind protection on the Panigale. I streetfighter is supposed to be comfortable, this just doesn't seem like it at all.
The roughness is pretty normal for a Ducati. Even my Monster 797 is like that. Also the clutch is heavy for sure. It's a "chatacterful" bike. That sound tho... its amazing. It's definitely not a cost effective bike but it sure is a sick bike.

Literally looks like every other streetfighter on the market. The best Ducs are the one's ya don't own. I mean, I get the fascination with them as I was a long time fan. Trellis frame, Brembo brakes, Termi exhaust, dry clutch, Marchesini wheels, Desmodromic valvetrain, L-twin, yadda, yadda (on the older gens). However, as I've gotten older I prefer reliability. Hence, I own a G1 Busa.
I think your Riding position has more to do with your height. I’m 6 ft and I sit more upright on my SFV4S. It’s very comfortable. I can lean forward when going fast, but it’s nothing like being on the Panigale in terms of weight on my wrists. The dry clutch is a bit of an acquired taste. The one on my V4R is different than the ones they use on the other models, but it does require a little more gas when finding the friction zone when leaving out of first gear. Plus it’s very heavy. The sound is subjective. If you leave the magnesium clutch cover on versus changing it out for the carbon fiber open cover, the sound is almost completely muted out. The wet clutch is easier to live with versus the dry clutch. I personally like the sound of the dry clutch on my Panigale. As others have said, shifting above 7K RPM gets you the best out of the QS. Also, you need to play with the ride modes. The bike is very configurable, almost to much. Depending on how you set up the electronics, it can be a really fun ride or it can be something that should not be sold to the public. Value for money is subjective and depends n the buyer. I love my SF and it’s good value to me.
Good… now try the Aprilia tuono v4 factory. You’ll experience same braking performance, a smoother quick shifter up and down and the most agile power delivery. For half the price
Ah Greg, I love it. Setting fire to the internet, well done haha

To reduce heat while stopped and at low speeds(which it not intended for) it disables the rear cylinders causing inherant imbalance. Why did you by this:; on an impulse?
I rode the bike too. The bike is overpriced for what is, and that dry clutch always sounds like something is wrong with the bike. This bike is for folks who just want to show off that they own a 40k bike. Not practical for any specific task
@RB52Dogan Hello there, Mr. "I sold my v4r because it was too hot, and the clutch burned out twice." You've never owned a Ducati V4R or even ridden one. It would be all over your channel if you had. I don't believe you have ridden a Streetfighter either. You are just going through RUclips trolling Ducati because you are jealous. That's a bit pathetic. I feel embarrassed for you. You need to try a Tuono 1100. Superb machine that actually gives you more mid range power which is what you want on the road. 200 hp plus on a naked is wasted. 180 odd hp is more than enough. The Tuono also sounds better being a true V4 rather than like 2 V twins as with the Streetfighter. You also get better wind protection with the fairing which is why I prefered it and so ended up buying one. I have not looked back. The Tuono makes me smile and laugh everytime I ride it and that is a what motorcycle should do.
That year street fighter is hits way to hard. They fix a lot of those problems in 2023. And I ride my v4 panigale more them my SF just to get outta the wind.
