My Uncle Steve used to date a young lady that worked at Graceland named Patsy. My grandmother, best friend, and I were in Memphis visiting her sisters and Patsy was at the house. She asked if we wanted a tour of Graceland (I was 14 and a Beatles Fan), but my Grandmother immediately said yes, and we went. Patsy showed us all around the outside and the garage (Pink Caddy). We went inside through the kitchen, then into the TV Room. Elvis was sitting on a couch watching four (IIRC) different football games (a bunch of TVs). He was wearing a white bath robe, and was one of the nicest people I'd ever met. He shot the crap with us for about a half hour (my grandmother was a singer). He took pics with us, and autographed pics for each of us. I was 14 and I'll admit I didn't know much about drugs, but Elvis Presley didn't slur a word and seemed very clear headed. If y'all think this was earlier, NOPE! I met Elvis Presley at the end of July 1977 (about two weeks before he died). Oh, and that young lady turns out was Patsy Presley (Elvis' 1st Cousin). I think she is currently Mrs Patsy Presley Geranon. And the White-Jump-Suit-Wearing Elvis sighting is BS. Patsy offered that same White Leather Jumpsuit (w/Cape) for $5000 after his death. I saw it go at auction several years ago for $395,000.

What a wonderful story. Very cool. I've seen the last performance Elvis did in 1977, two months before he passed. Every time I watch it I have the same thought; why didn't somebody say, "hey buddy, we need to talk about your problems and get you some help." He's still Elvis and they still went crazy, but it's pretty obvious. So sad. RIP

Stevie Wonder is legally blind as I am. I see people and things as shadows, certain colors are clear. Legally Blind and clinical blindness are completely different.
Stevie Wonder doesn't owe the world a damn thing. He never asked for special treatment and he paid for his own assistance. Why would anyone say anything negative about a man who lived with his lack of sight with such wonderful dignity and grace?

I was about to say the same thing. I have seen people angry because someone was reading a book (up very close), but then needed a white cane to assist in walking. The gentleman tried to explain the difference between blind & legally blind & people weren't having it. It's one thing to be ignorant. It's a whole other ballgame choosing to stay that way & getting upset.

Ha ha. I was working at a Stevie Wonder outdoor concert about 10 years ago in London UK. I was stationed between two enormous speakers at the front of the stage. My job as a first aider was to look towards the audience. But I had to look at the stage as it was a once in a lifetime chance to see Stevie. He was led from his piano to the centre of the stage. Stevie then walked, by himself, right to the edge of the stage. No one seemed concerned by this except me!
If he had fallen, he would have fallen on me !
He then looked directly at me and sang. I just called to say I love you. My colleagues said that it looked like he could see and was looking in my direction. To top that, it would have been my wedding anniversary, and he sung the favourite song of my late husband and myself. I think he can see. ❤

Regarding Stevie Wonder, a person does not have to be completely blind in order to be diagnosed as legally blind. My next door neighbour is blind yet she can see the difference between my daughter and me, addressing us by our names when we cross paths.

I had a friend who was completely blind , he had had cancer as a toddler, and surgery was required, in which his eyes were removed... this one day, as he and his band mates were doing a gig at a local bar, they decided to try something different, as they got hammered drunk, my blind friend who didn't drink, would drive them home...he got into the drivers seat and proceeded down the road...as they went, they would indicate which way to turn and when to use the turn signals, along with the speed to accelerate and deccelerate... suddenly unbeknownst to them, a cop car had been following them from the bar... he was pulled over and asked for his paperwork..at which my blind friend denied having any, including not having a dl... he then confessed to the cop by removing his sun glasses that he didn't even have eye balls... he and his bandmates were swiftly arrested and later released, as the staff sergeant refused to pursue the case,as it would ridicule the station...they all went home, with the promise to never do it again... true story...lol

My family went to Graceland when I was 25. My mother passed out. She was taken to the kitchen. The maid were taking care of her. The maid started talking about being tired all the time. Between Lisa Marie and him upstairs, she could barely catch her breathe. Mom casually asked if that was Lisa's granddaddy, she said no, her dad. It just slipped out. Then she had to go before she got into trouble for talking too much. Then when leaving. The man in the window upstairs sure looked whole lot like Elvis

Blind people can sense and smell people , if you spend time with a completely blind person you’d be shocked at how amazing their 6th sense is … they can move around places they know well as if they can see and can hear like animals .. that would also explain him catching the mic , he prob heard it and felt the breeze or where it would land … we have a famous Sudanese singer Gordon Kong who explained this to me a few years ago after one of his concerts because after I introduced myself once he remembered me by smell and the sound of my walk .
