Respect to Illa J for continuing to improve his flow after all these years, however he has some serious shoes to fill to even be in the same conversation with his brother, I know he doesn't like being in his brother's shadow, I totally get that and I respect him trying to create a name for himself, but J Dilla was and is arguably the best producer to ever have lived and I don't know if Illa J would even be relevant if it weren't for his brother's success and giving him the opportunity to rap (he was Illa J's outlet, essentially).
much respect to both Frank and John for this album! Had a show with these two followed by one with Slum this year and they are gentlemen. Very warm vibes and always good to kick it with, especially when the henny comes out... forget ALL of the disses regarding these new dilla releases because at the end of the day, it ALL comes from the heart and that's what it's always been about.
Definitely. I need to get my hands on this album after hearing those beats. I haven't made a beat in a long time but this makes me feel like doing it!!!!
J Dilla!! Greatest beat maker to EVER do it!!! Illa J and Frank Nit "Sunset Blvd" is a fool!!! And just think; THESE ARE OLD DILLA BEATS!!???!!! In-credible... smh
it's so funny when people bring up moments that they think Sway doesn't remember you can tell Sway is in for these moments cause he remembers everything that happened...he's not just doing a job like some of the other personalities...and also always RIP to Dilla and papa Yancey and Baatin
15:13 I would love to hear more about Dilla’s perspective on Prince. You always hear how much he loved JB and Pete Rock.. but it would make sense why Prince would be his favorite. A lot of hip hop heads sleeping on the GOAT
Wow always get excited to hear anything dilla! The legacy continues.
