What I appreciate about this new incarnation of AA! is that they're finding their own unique identity that doesn't stray too far away from the past. I get there's only so much you can do with a new singer to try to match a previous singer's style, but I think Chris is doing a pretty good job so far. However, the real test is how they'll perform their old material live. Will the new songs in the setlist seem too different to organically gel with their previous releases? I guess we're gonna have to wait & see.

This was the first metalcore band I listened to back in 09, Stick Stickly yo, and what caused me to love metalcore. This band caused me to eventually find deathcore and love that too. Now, I only listen to metalcore and deathcore and seeing that my first favorite band ever came out with new material has made me so excited! Tbh, the new vocalist sounds like Caleb in some areas and it's so incredibly nice to see both Andrew's back in the band together...I do miss Johnny though.
Chris Parketny the new vocalist was absolutely amazing in Nine Shrines. It was the perfect blend of metalcore, hard rock, and some grunge elements. He was also in another band called Strangers To Wolves and I'm pretty sure he's been featured in a few band's metalcore songs as well.
So I had my video speed at 1.5x from the previous video I watched, and I started watching this on 1.5x by accident. Needless to say, it's a whole different experience.
