This bani, So Purkh creates a sacred space in which grace prevails so as to allow the greatness of the soul to come forth. It was written by Guru Ram Das, whose vibrations exists holding a state of grace and love that heals all realms of the heart and being.
Yogi Bhajan taught that if a woman recites this bani eleven times a day for any man, it has the power to make him a saint, and dissolve any negativity between them. He would often give this as a sadhana to women for the men in their lives. So Purkh is part of Rehiraas, the evening prayer of the Sikhs.

Brilliant question. So Purkh is a part of the Rehras paath. Rehras according to Gyani Takhur Singh should be completed before 11pm.
Rehras is usually done around the evening time. However my local Gurdwara starts Rehras paath around 5pm & finishes around 6pm.
However i listen to this So Purkh paath at all different times; occasionally even in the morning.

Someone mentioned in previous post that the mantra is repeated 3 times. It's actually repeated 2 times in gurmukhi, isn't it?

I´ve read that you have to listen to this mantra 11 times a day. How many times is this mantra repeated here? Do I have to pronounce the words and meditate or just listen to it? Namasté.
The vibes of the song work even if you're just learning to it. With that being said, it's also wonderful to chant/sing along. Both are and can be very powerful and can transmute energy :)
She recites it 3 times in Gurmukh at the beginning. Then she translates it.

This is my 2nd day with this mantra and I'm having a hard time getting it down; I spend so much time trying to pronounce each word that I find myself focusing on that rather than really meditating. I suppose listening to it enough times will help me learn it - or I can do it in English I suppose...

El Uno Primordial es perfectamente puro. El Dios Primordial es perfecto. Él está en todo y más allá de todo.
Todos meditan. Todas las almas meditan en ti, oh Verdadero Creador.
Todas las almas son uno contigo. Todas las almas provienen de ti.
Oh Santos, mediten en Dios y todas sus dolencias desaparecerán.

Our Langar (free Kitchen) is open to everyone, regardless of caste, colour, creed or religion.
Therefore how could we possibly then turn around and say this paath (prayer) is only for Sikhs?
The prayer So Pukrh has no discrimination, we as humans are One, our God is One. Let us connect to that One
