I’ve been where you are. Let me help you a bit. There aren’t any gold-bearing deposits in Delaware. If you are near Washington, DC, there were a couple creeks that feed into the Potomac that have gold in them. The mountains of Western Maryland have several places where you could find some gold. The mountains of Virginia have a couple of places, but I can’t remember where they are. North Carolina has gold in several places in the mountains to the west. It’s a great hobby, very much like golf or fishing. You never know how well it’s going to go, but it’s a great excuse for being outside all day long.best wishes!
